Glenorchy, Otago, New Zealand. The most beautiful stretch of Google Street View I have ever encountered.

Another amazing photograpic sight in the south island of New Zealand
I started here earlier in the morning, but the clouds were too thick – after some other shooting I returned, and the clouds were breaking.
Ideally, I would have waited longer for the sun to illuminate the rest of the mountain – but there was a tour bus invasion with Chinese tourist who were all into selfies and running every which direction. Just behind me and to the right is the famous red boat shed which is a big draw.
Moral of the story – shoot early and often.

Glenorchy is a small settlement nestled in spectacular scenery at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu in the South Island region of Otago, New Zealand. It is approximately 45 kilometres by road or boat from Queenstown, the nearest large town.
This so called lagoon is off a freshwater lake (Lake Wakatipu) rather than a sea. Spent some time here for the Autumn foliage.
An amazing little town not too far from Queenstown. Give it a visit if you're in the area - lots of filming from Lord of the Rings took place here.
Happy Friday!
