The moon was just getting ready to set for the night. I was able to capture the reflection or glare of the moon on the patch of ice along the river. The orange glow to the right are the city lights of Anchorage

Yay, when looking through the photos, I found that I did snap a goldfinch:) When I was shooting this guy I wasn't sure what bird was hopping around in the crepe Myrtle eating the seeds. Many of the birds like those seeds.

I was going for the ID shot since he was moving about so quickly and most of the time the glare of the sun was in my eyes.

Have a wonderful day and happy snapping.

If the sun wasn't there this would be over by now

Not cropped. No photomontage. No Photoshop.

Burrowing owl glaring at me, just outside of Davis, Ca. February 2020.

I was delicately adjusting my camera’s manual focus trying to get the flowers refracted in the water drops in perfect detail. When I finally got it just the way I wanted the sun poked out from behind some tree branches, shined down on the water drops, and washed out my carefully crafted composition. This nuisance of nature required slight changes in perspective and aperture to compensate. Ah well, I suppose one man’s distracting glare is another’s spectacular sparkle.

This is the third and last photo from our Grundlsee-trip I´m going to post here on Flickr. Three totally different approaches, but each one taken with heart and soul.

It´s about time to plan the next trip...may the lightchase continue!

These are the final photos from a walk around Launceston's Royal Park beside the Tamar River. As you will have seen it was a fabulously bright afternoon. Outside the Tamar Yacht Club I wanted to try to express the feeling of warmth created by the sun on this beautiful Autumn afternoon. Here is a shot directly into the sun, lens flare and all.

Have a great Sunday my friends! Thank you for all comments :)

Thank you so much! :)

A glow of the sun between the leafy branches of the forest trees...

My home town is Fiumefreddo Bruzio, its name derived from "Flumen Frigidum" which is latin for "cold river". This name is due to the stream thats flows along the hill on which the burgh is clinging. This picture was taken near the mouth, where the river flows into the sea.

"That Glare"

Ps.. This is my second upload of a portrait as i deleted my first after looking at it more closely on my monitor i wasn't happy with how soft it was 🙈

Sometimes over critical of myself but hey ho...
