I had planned on posting a different wildflower photo. But I backed out to change something in my post and now I have to relocate that photo. Wherever did it go? lol
Mountain Goat
Glacier National Park, MT
I believe this to be a male (billy) Mountain Goat. The billies’ horns are thicker and set closer together at the base whereas the horns of a female Mountain Goat (nanny) are thinner and more spindly. (Alaska Department of Fish and Game).
Happy National Park Week & Slider Sunday
In honor of NPW, I decided to go back into old albums and repost a shot each day that I had never posted publicly. I decided to slide this Montana scene to b&w!

This week is National Park Week, so I thought I'd go back to some older shots that were originally private in comments and give them their own time to shine. Today's post is from 2014, on our trip to Montana and Canada. Quite different from the stark UT landscapes posted previously.

I'm in a family wedding Saturday, so will get back to commenting when the dust settles
Arrived early at the Logan Pass Visitor Center to make sure we had a parking spot since it's a very popular area and spots fill up quickly. This is the highest point on the Going to the Sun Road and parking area if you want to hike up to Hidden Lake or hike the Highline Trail. A quick note: A record wind gust was recorded at Logan Pass on April 9, 2014, of 139 miles per hour. The pass was closed at that time: per Wikipedia.
