Don't know why he was so angry.think there were trespassers lately and he was concerned I might confront them.
He's a bit protective.
It's been about 8 long years (Nov 21st 2010) since Baby Kat crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge, where I hope she will be waiting for me someday.
If I had any regrets, it's that I didn't take enough photos of her when she was alive. I think this is my most favorite portrait of her.

Freddie passed away at home aged ten after a short illness on August 20th 2019.

Rest in peace little fella x.
People strive all their lives to love and be loved, but the truth is, love hurts. The deeper the love, the deeper the sense of loss when it ends, for whatever reason.
My precious cat, Squeegee, is nearing the end of his life. Today, I'm bringing him to see Dr. Shroyer to determine if there is anything left that can be done to help him, or if I should put him to sleep. It's a decision I don't want to make, but will, if the vet says he thinks he's suffering. If not, I will try to let him pass on his own. It won't be long, either way, barring some miracle, which I have been hoping for, but which hasn't come. Honestly, I'm surprised he's made it this long. I am unbelievably grateful for the time I've had with him.
Many of you know the story of Squeegee. I took him in as a stray and about a year later, he almost died. I fought to save his life then, and every single day I've had with him has been precious to me. I have to admit, it's probably the only relationship I did right, in that I have really cherished him and appreciated him.
Squeeks repaid me by alerting me to impending migraines for years, so that I could stop them in time to be able to avoid excruciating pain and go to work. He was as much of a lifesaver for me as I was for him. Still, he couldn't prevent every migraine, and I can't keep him from getting old and dying. So one of these days- maybe today- I will lose him and it's going to hurt. I've already cried a million tears inside and ached knowing I would lose him. It's part of life, but it's the part I hate the most. Even knowing that love that strong MUST somehow be eternal, and that God will certainly reunite us eventually doesn't dull the pain of loss much. I love Squeeks like a person. Though I've loved all my pets, few have been this dear to me, and I doubt any ever will be again.
Please keep both of us in your prayers, and Barrymore, my other cat, too. More-More has known Squeegee his whole life and is very upset about things. I can tell he knows because if Squeegee doesn't eat, HE doesn't eat. When I cry, he looks depressed. He senses something is very wrong, and I know he's going to miss his brother. He doesn't like the new kittens at all, and I think he'll resent them even more once Squeegee is gone. Just pray I have the strength to do what I need to do. If he has to go down, I will be doing it by Monday.
Sorry for going on about this. I guess that's what we do when things mean this much to us.
One of the best things from my recent 12-day catsitting in West-Friesland was the nightly walks with the cats. Just me and the cats and no one else. They are used to it and enjoy it. You never know which of the cats show up :) This is Rooie, one of the next-door neighbour's cats. He was always game for the nightwalk.
Find me on Facebook too.

Britney is a great bug hunter and tries to protect us from them.
Well, all of my cats eat bugs, but there are too many in this area during spring and summer.
Have a great Sunday!
The biggest of the "twins" is Ragnar, my spunky little cuddler kitten! Ragnar, or "Rags" for short, loves to be held and pet, and is growing like a weed since I brought him home last month. His little sister, Freja, is lagging behind in size and weight, and is having a little trouble keeping up with her aggressive brother's rambunctiousness. It's hard to not fall in love with either of them, except for the early AM hours when they're using me as a trampoline!
I loved this shot because you could see the mischief in those eyes! I love the lynx-like tufts of fur on his ears, too! Notice how his little pink nose forms a heart? Too cute.
Brothers in arms Charlie and Freddie aged 7 weeks old on July 12th 2009.
This photograph was taken inside their carrier shortly after arrival in their new home when their and my life changed forever.
Freddie on the left passed away at home aged 10 after a short illness on August 20th 2019.
Charlie Boy was put to sleep by a veterinary surgeon after a severe and unrecoverable neurological event after several months of gradual decline aged 15 and a half years old on December 19th 2024.
Charlie's passing brought to an end the Charlie and Freddie era, their own life odyssey, their personal companionship and their flickr adventure.

The more I use my Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 AIS, the more I enjoy it. Great image quality and performance from 12mp to 36mp and equally enjoyable to use on both DSLR and Mirrorless (ZF) bodies.
I originally intended to test this lens and take the photos I took at this time on film but the light meter coupling on my FG-20 seems to have failed unfortunately. Hopefully it is repairable
In the meantime, I’m continuing to enjoy using the lens digitally.
Ginger cat at Albert Cuyp Market, De Pijp (Amsterdam), sitting on a wooden stall platform while the market runs behind.
The surgical collar is now gone and Ray is feeling a lot happier. This is a snap of him when he was suffering from his nasty absess near his ear . This is one of his favourite sunbathing spots in the garden.
Toffee and our mini Christmas tree.
I saw where someone had started a trend of shooting cats through the Christmas tree but can't remember who.
Decided to give it a go when Toffee conveniently sat close to the tree.
The gorgeous Charlie Boy in June 2011.
Note on view three of the four extra toes or thumbs on Charlie's polydactyl paws (the left rear is obscured).
Charlie's extra toes don't seem bother him in the slightest although I've always been worried that one of his outer claws getting caught somewhere and being damaged as Charlie cannot retract it.
If he does get a outer claw caught particularly on his scratch post he'll just pull his whole body, which means dragging the whole post across the floor until it comes loose. (I've often come home to find his scratch post on the other side of the room.)
The inner claw does not make contact with anything so this has to be cut manually and periodically otherwise it'll grow around in a loop and back in into the paw like an ingrowing toenail.
I can tell you Charlie Boy does not enjoy having his inner claws clipped and it can take me several attempts over several days to complete the task.

after a 5 hour trip in the car to go on vacation she wouldn't let me leave her so she guarded me for quite a while
Fritz, our ginger cat, in his tree at our former residence in Dural, in the Hills District of Sydney.
Fritz wore a bell and never once harmed a bird, though he did watch them from his perch in the Lilly Pilly tree.
He always came inside at night.
He was a fantastic cat with a brilliant personality.
