Established in 1998, the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Gilgit is a premier educational institution for boys, offering classes from grade VIII to XII. The spacious campus with adjoining sports grounds is purpose-built, and is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
In the 18 years since its establishment, around 1,500 students have graduated from the School to study at leading national and international institutions.
Today, our alumni students are serving as doctors, nurses, engineers, managers, principals, teachers, entrepreneurs and officers in the Armed Forces.
AKHSS, Gilgit has a well-qualified and experienced faculty who each hold a Master’s degree from an accredited university. Many of the faculty members also have professional qualifications, such as B.Ed and M.Ed degrees from renowned institutions such as from the Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development.

As a kid, I grew up in awe of beautiful places around the world and wondered if they really in fact existed. Looking at this photo now I realized that now, as an adult, I've been to one such place.

Babusar Pass or Babusar Top (el. 4173 m./13,691 ft.) is a mountain pass at the north of the 150 km. (93 miles) long Kaghan Valley connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH). It is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley.

.Pakistan and China have opened border for trade and tourism at Khunjrab. Silk Route Dry Port, the port has also started its business operations at the port Sost (Upper Hunza) near Khunjarab pass Gilgit-Baltistan. Annual trade between China and Pakistan has increased from less than $2 billion in 2002 to $6.9 billion, with a goal of $15 billion by 2014. Sost dry port is the first formal port at the China-Pakistan border, facilitating customs clearance and other formalities for goods moving from the Chinese regions of Kasghar and Sinkyang to the commercial centers of Pakistan.
