Bodie
Bodie ist eine Geisterstadt östlich von San Francisco in Kalifornien an der Grenze zu Nevada in den Vereinigten Staaten. Sie entstand nach 1859 als Goldgräbersiedlung und wurde in den 1930er Jahren aufgegeben. Dank der geringen Luftfeuchtigkeit blieben viele Gebäude, Gerätschaften und Autos relativ gut erhalten. Das Ensemble gilt heute als besterhaltene Geisterstadt der USA.

This building is located in Sparks, OK. Now a ghost town. Last censes showed 137 people still living there. Maybe 37 living there now and probably some squatters. The block in the top center of the front elevation says Sparks Lodge AF & AM No 316, 1926. Once part of the Sac and Fox Reservation.

The ghost town of Bodie California was last inhabited in 1932.

Rhyolite ist eine Geisterstadt im Nye County des US-Bundesstaates Nevada. Sie entstand durch und verging mit einem Goldvorkommen und wurde nach dem für die Landschaft prägenden Rhyolith benannt. Rhyolite liegt nordwestlich von Las Vegas auf dem Weg ins Death Valley nahe Beatty, etwa 3 km nördlich der Nevada State Route 374.

Rhyolite is a ghost town in Nye County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills, about 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Las Vegas, near the eastern boundary of Death Valley National Park. The town began in early 1905 as one of several mining camps that sprang up after a prospecting discovery in the surrounding hills.
Located 13 miles south of Aspen. Silver discovered here in 1879. Hailed as boom-town in 1882. By-passed by railroads in 1887. Ghost town by 1900.
