My new/old morning commute brought about a little dew/sunrise/blur shot.
Now on to the business at hand! I am a little frustrated, make that a lot frustrated, at the amount of #SPAM and #ghostfollowers that @instagram is letting clog up my notifications feed. I have since had to make my profile private so as to eliminate this, which is something I do not want to do. It’s nice when you get a new follower, but I want REAL followers. I am on Instagram to share my pictures, make friends, socialize with people who share my common passion in photography. But when I log on and find 10 new followers, which I make it a point to report and block from my profile, it is starting to feel like a hassle every single time I log on. It would be nice to be able to comment on my friends pictures and reply to my own notifications rather than spend 10 minutes blocking idiots (who by the way I believe are stealing their pictures from the internet or other fellow IGers, another reason I BLOCK them). Please @kevin @mikeyk if you value your company and it's initial purpose then do something about this! From what I have been told there are various easy ways to eliminate or even reduce spam. And now the new glitch is deleting messages the second they are posted?!?! What is up with that? @instagram you were such a great app once. @kevin & @mikeyk , you guys had such a great vision. You recognized real photographic & creative talent and rewarded it by displaying on the "popular" page. You were a great place to make connections and have introduced me to great people. You were a welcome break from the everyday.
But lately you've changed, and I can't say it's for the better. People nowadays BUY followers. It's come to the point where for every like or comment I get I have to weed through 5-10 "new followers" offering me every product and gimmick known to man. I'm willing to work for my followers I don't need to be #spammed every minute by some loser with no life thank you. I am making my profile private on December 4th, 2012. I know by doing that I am limiting my exposure to non-followers who have nothing to do with this and that maybe even you will not read this since you're not following me. But on the off chance you read this or me doing this causes one ripple in your life it's a chance I'm willing to take.
