Maserati Ghibli is a future executive car produced by Maserati, with production slated to begin towards the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014.
The car was unveiled to the public at the Shanghai Motor Show on 20th April 2013.
The car will be fitted with V6 3.0 motor (petrol engine), available in 330 and 410 HP variants, and as a first for the Maserati company, will also come in as a diesel engine variant (250 and 275 HP). The turbo diesel engine will produce 600 N·m (443 lb·ft).
The car is rumored to drive 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds, with the top speed reaching 285 km/h (177 mph).

The Ghibli was introduced in 2013. A facelift was applied in 2017. The internal code is M157. The Ghibli is just under 5m long, the Quattroporte is 5.26m.

Der Maserati Ghibli mit der internen Bezeichnung M157 ist das dritte Modell des italienischen Automobilherstellers Maserati, das unter diesem Namen auf den Markt gekommen ist. Es handelt sich dabei jedoch nicht wie bei den bisherigen Namensträgern (Tipo AM115 und Tipo AM336) um ein Sportcoupé, sondern um eine Stufenhecklimousine der oberen Mittelklasse. Der Ghibli wurde im April 2013 auf der Auto Shanghai vorgestellt und ist der erste Maserati, der auch mit einem Dieselmotor erhältlich ist. Die Markteinführung erfolgte am 17. August 2013.

the Ghibli Museum is amazing. It was raining so I couldn't really get good pictures, but there's plenty on flickr already. The inside is the really amazing part. Toshio Iwai created some 3d strobe turntable animations, and there are rooms full of original art, sketches, storyboards and inspiration from all of the Ghibli movies. It sounds cheesy but I got really emotional seeing the original sketches.. It's really an attempt to inspire children with the art of animation. There's even a sketchbook that says something like 世界をつくる所 (place to make worlds).. cool stuff.
The first version of three cars given the Ghibli name by the famous Italian performance car manufacturer Maserati . This the Ghibli 1 ( Tipo 115 ) in my book is the most beautiful road car the firm has ever made . Manufactured as a two door 2+2 GT car it was first debuted at the 1966 Turin motor show . Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro working for Ghia .
Powered by a front mounted quad-cam 4719 cc V8 producing 310 HP ( 230 Kw ) with a 0-60 mph time of 6.8 sec . and a top speed of 154 mph ( 248 km/h )
Manufactured between 1967-1973 , there were 1,170 coupes and only 125 Spiders ( roadsters ) made .
This car along with other models of the marque were on display to mark the 100th anniversary of this great car manufacturer , Maserati .
