Shot taken from Hale Village looking over the River Mersey.

The sky looked beautifully threatening.

The light seemed just so perfect. Camera close by.....

River Mersey and Liverpool as seen from the Wirral.

Cool night air to follow.

Views of the River Dee, Parkgate

Taken on a chilly but sunny day. Cleared away the cobwebs!

A woman walking her dog calls as he runs off too far ahead, her voice causing a pigeon to fly off. All in front of the giant lifting gear at the Seaforth Dock.

Spike Island is an artificial island created in 1833 when the Sankey Canal was extended from Fiddler's Ferry power station to the River Mersey at Widnes.

Parkgate, Neston, Wirral.

Taken in high contrast winter light. Parkgate is famous for its ice cream that is made by local treasure, Nicholls Ice Cream of Parkgate, which has called the area home since 1937.

Also for the marches caused by erosion to the River Dee.

Taken on a rainy day between showers.

Not ideal light but it was worth going to Pacific Road again.

I'll be back.

Whittington Castle is a castle in Shropshire. Originally a motte-and-bailey castle, replaced in the 13th century by one with buildings around a courtyard. Near to the border of Wales and England, close to the historic fort of Old Oswestry.

Two people and their dog look towards the camera on the far side.

Forest Flame still burning in the garden.

Taken from the beer garden of the Golden Fleece.

I was told the house was once the home of Sooty, Sweep and Sue, famous and much loved puppets.

Taken at 8.40pm, as I was driving home along the front New Brighton, Wirral. I just had to park up and take in the scene.

I couldn't help thinking how lucky the people living there are. Their dogs must think they are in Canine Heaven on nights like this.

No rain actually came here at West Kirby as walkers came back over the sands from Hilbre, whilst beachgoers lingered.

The sky looked surreal, the air muggy and heavy.

Woolton Village, Liverpool.

My local village is blessed with a butcher's, Italian deli, cheese shop, farm shop, good pubs, restaurants, and much more. I did my weekly shopping without even entering a supermarket, each shop a social experience. No auto tills!

I live in Gateacre which is within Much Woolton.

An intimate view through the forests of West Van. Looking deeper into these vignettes of nature can provide insight into our souls. I desperately crave more time to be able gain this insight into my own.

A quote I heard some years back that has stuck with me all this time, reverberates constantly in my mind of late “The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching.”
