The dome of the State Capitol of Texas.
Did you know that the name "Texas" comes from the Spanish word of the same spelling? It was previously spelled as "Tejas," which was initially pronounced as "ta-shas." It's ultimately derived from the word "taysha," which means "allies, friends" in the language of Caddo Indians, who live in eastern Texas.

A moment after our star's grand exit over the skies near Datça, Muğla Province, Turkey. Still captivated by its lingering, invigorating light, I am reminded that I am but stardust, and I eternally belong here.

Tranquility should be listed in dictionaries as a synonym for 'brook'. Never once have I felt distraught in the presence of a brook, even my life at times insisted on distraction and distress. A brook is nature's whisperer of wisdom—one simply listens. | Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA.

At the last exit off my favorite U.S. highway—US-64 East, between Rocky Mount and Manteo—just after crossing the Croatan Sound... Although my destination is usually a few miles ahead (Manteo, Nags Head, etc.), I always stop here to take in the sunset.

At the last exit off my favorite U.S. highway—US-64 East, between Rocky Mount and Manteo—just after crossing the Croatan Sound… Although my destination is usually just a few miles ahead (Manteo, Nags Head, etc.), I always stop here to enjoy the sunset.
I don’t know why I love driving this particular stretch of highway, but each time, I experience a strange fusion of anticipation, freedom, and joy—tinged with a quiet melancholy. Perhaps it’s the weight of past travels along this same path, the moments left behind, pressing so heavily that they become something resigned yet strangely poetic.

The great plains of Montana, with a westerly storm looming in the distance. It seems I always end up heading toward—or straight into—a storm when traveling by road. The streaks of light in the sky were caused by smog in the air, carried by the jet stream from the forest fires in Washington State. By the time I reached Wyoming, the haze had thickened considerably.
