The Pena Palace (Portuguese: Palácio da Pena) is a Romanticist castle in São Pedro de Penaferrim, in the municipality of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera. The castle stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains above the town of Sintra, and on a clear day it can be easily seen from Lisbon and much of its metropolitan area. It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials.

De fet es tracta d'una reconstrucció segons els models originals i amb motor Allison nord-americà, ja que els originals Klimov son rars i ja eren poc fiables a l'època. Es pot pagar per donar-hi una volta, però no és gens barat!

At Sabadell airport, within the FPAC (Fundació Parc Aeronautic de Catalunya), they have this Yakovlev Yak-9UM in flight for a few years now. In fact it is a reconstruction according to the original models and with a North American Allison engine, since the original Klimovs are rare and already unreliable at the time. You can pay to fly as a passenger, but it's not cheap at all!

Rambergstranda Beach, Ramberg, Lofoten, Norway
Our tour only went as far as Svolvær and I wanted to travel as far down the islands as possible. Luckily, we had a free day in our itinerary and found a “Southern Lofoten Islands Photography tour” via GetYourGuide.com. Perfect I thought… we were the last pick-up hotel and our group consisted of 7 Singaporeans, 5 from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Tripod-Carrier and little old me.
If this was an organised “photography” tour I’d have happily run naked into the sea in excitement, but considering I was the only one with a DSLR and tripod I had my doubts! The rest of group… smartphones and the odd selfie stick. To be far, the tour did take us to the well-known honey-pot locations, which I am grateful for – every location is a bloody long drive!
Our second stop was Rambergstranda beach with snow cover right up to the sandy beach. We were only given 20 mins here and apart from myself, Tripod-Carrier and the tour guide, nobody else ventured beyond the car park and onto the beach. Looking for an interesting foreground I came across this little red hut… I can only assume it’s a fishing hut. I grabbed a few images as I approached but wanted a shot higher up so I clambered up the snow-covered dunes for a better vantage point only to discover a “proper” tog tour already encamped at the top.
I did enquire to see if this was the tour I “should” have been on, but alas it was a private tour and the tour name nothing like the one I had booked! Nevertheless, not wanting to miss the shot I grabbed a couple of images right next to the tripod that was dead central and square on to the hut… curses, not quite perfect!

After we got off the boat we followed the waterfront till we came to the Piazzale dei Protontini, where there were great views across the harbour.

When we started our Tour in Las Vegas Aria Hotel on this wednesday morning, the rain was untiringly and expected to do so the whole day. There have been reports about snowfall on our weather apps in the region we are heading to.
Beside the low temperatures and the rain, our Tour Operator and Touristguide made this day a great one. On our way through the state of Nevada and Arizona, he explained us everything we need to know. First Stop was the Zion National Park, please see pictures from there on my Photostream.
Later on this day, we arrived at the famous Bryce Canyon in the US State of Utah. But unfortunately, because of the rain the view was terrible and we can´t even see 10 meter. You can see this foggy pictures as well on my Stream or respective Album.
But the longer we stayed there and the more we walked around the edge, the blue sky and the sun removed the grayness above and inside the canyon. And minutes before we decided to return to Las Vegas, the Canyon showed up in full brightness.

At last we were down at the marina and all we had to do was find out where our boat trip would start from. It would be a one hour shared boat tour along the stunning Sorrento Coast, starting at 10:30am. Just £16 each (at the time - now £18), to include a tasting of limoncello, the local drink. Maximum 12 people - so we knew it wouldn't be a big boat! Swimming can be included, but none of us wanted to (I'd drown anyway!)

The 'old situation' ot the terminus loop at Julianaplein next to Amstelstation a few weeks before the relocation of this terminus a bit closer to the entrance of the station and Meester Teublaan.
This 2108 is promoting a guide for the city. Not sure what exactly but the tram is quite colorful. The grass is very arid due to the heat and drought of the Summer of 2018.
