This is definitely one for the Photography Gone Wrong group ...but I really like it!
I'm not sure it's quite what they were after for the Get Wisdom group, but I'll submit it all the same....I hope they like it. :-)
This is entirely accidental. Another case of not paying attention to settings and light; the shutter stayed open for far too long and before I knew it, I was muttering and chunnering under my breath.
The only processing I did to this, besides adding the frame, was to run it through the Bleach Bypass filter in Colour Efex Pro to bring out more of whatever detail was left in there...there was more detail than I thought.
As I said before, I really like this. (Not sure I ought to say that about one of my own photo's.)

Paul's back for the weekend so after a lazy morning we headed in Manchester.
We planned to go for a photographic wander and then have food and go to the cinema. I really wanted to see "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" which was showing at Printworks.
We parked up at my uni and walked into town. We walked through Salford, taking a few pics of the architecture, noting some fine examples, and sadly lots of derelict examples. We crossed the River Irwell from Salford into Manchester, stopping for a couple of pics on the bridge.
We came to near Granada Studios and I pointed out the Coronation St set. We walked up to the gates and saw we could see Dev's shop. I had visited the Corrie set way back in the early 90s as part of the Granda Studios tour.
We then headed through St John's Garden which had a very sad memorial to the people buried here. There used to be a church on the site and the people remained buried under the garden.
I remember that we could visit Manchester Central Library and take photos. It is being refurbished and will be closed for some time. The main reading room is circular with a glass ceiling and some interesting architectural features. Was slightly tricky to capture it all. I don't know what the plans are for the future but I hope the new design doesn't completely destroy the old. Would be a shame not to preserve some parts I think.
From the library we headed to the Arndale Centre and had a drink at McDonalds and a cake at Greggs.
After checking the cinema times we realised we had just missed one showing and would have to wait till 8ish for the next. We booked tickets to see the subtitled version and headed off to get somewhere to eat.
We hadn't realised that X Factor - The Live Show was in town and had just kicked out. Consequently all the eateries in the Northern Quarter were packed. We headed further into town and ended up at a Mediterranean place and I had a Moroccan lamb tagine (which was huge) and Paul had pork with calvados sauce and olive mash.
The film was great. Really recommend it and it was a good, sound adaptation of the book. Am glad we went for the subtitled version. The dubbed voices would've annoyed me. The film was graphic, as the book is. Paul enjoyed the film, even though he hadn't read the book. They told us that the next 2 films are going to follow in quick succession. I need to read the 3rd book - paperback out 1st April!

This was a really cacky looking metal bookshelf, but I liked the wavy lines. A bit of added contrast and Bob's a close family relative.
