With the holidays just around the corner, Stormtrooper Bruce knows things are about to get hectic.
So, he has escaped to the Secret Room, found hidden behind his quarters years ago, in order to take a few minutes to sit, relax and clear his head… and make a list or two to try and get organized this year.
Did 4 colour-shemes for Easter for my kitchen shelves: green, blue, yellow and pink. There will be a white corner in the Living-room
In this space I can place an ikea Billy, nbix these and some other dolls, this creating less clutter and streamlining the rooms overall look!
I can also unbox the small MonsterHigh, EverAfterHigh, and MyScene dolls that I have as well!!

Also buy DOORS!! Dusting is hard work!!!
This room was also going to be a guest room, but I didn't like the way the futon fit in there, so it's exclusively my office/craft room.
the shelf for all the embroidery-items and books, the needle felting and knitting and crochet equipment - still in order
We are organizing and sorting out all the things we need for our holiday to France...
Definitely need a list to check if everything is packed before Friday!
And tomorrow will be my the last day at the office....woohoo!
We are counting the days....

Day two hundred thirty/365. About a year and a half ago, I bought a PDA. I was a band dad. I was spending time in the high school parking lot, waiting for my son to come out after an event. Instead of finding a street light to sit under so that I could read a book, I thought it would be good to have a back-it screen and an e-book. It worked out well. I got to like the blue glow.
It was just an experiment when I started putting my schedule on the PDA. Of course, I kept up my paper planner, as well. I'm a visual person. I liked to use stickers, colors, and symbols that no one else knew. I liked the feel of paper in my hands. It seemed more certain than a memory chip.
But, I did eventually change completely to the PDA. In fact, I gave my first one to my wife, so that she could keep track of her medications, exercise schedule, games, and other matters of importance to someone whose cognition is slightly compromised. This photo shows her hands and her PDA, as she muses over her health care.
I upgraded to the next model. And, I love it. I keep digital photos in it. A digital Bible, lists, all sorts of stuff.
It's an interesting thing. Are we better able to express ourselves the old fashioned way, with colored pencils and stickers on paper? Or, is it better for those who have an artistic flair to use digital devices with plastic cases?
Dang.
Really want to. Must have a computerized system, but cant really seem to get the hang of it.
After having read David Allens GTD book.
Now I will try GTDTiddlyWiki for some time.

I just got a label maker and I've been going nuts. You could say I've labeled my life, well, at least the record of it. These are all my moleskines. I like the squared poket versions for my journals.
Here is a post about how to organize papers that you will need during the week including bills, forms, school flyers, and more.

The morning bus from New York City has just arrived at Greater Binghamton Transportation Center on a sunny morning on Easter Sunday. The bus driver has opened the luggage bay. Time to get everything out and get organized.

My first Pinterest-inspired craft. But certainly not my last.
I'm not usually a papercrafts kind of girl, but I have a feeling that might change. This was ridiculously fun. It's not perfect, obvs (I had 6x6 scrapbook paper on hand, when I really needed 12x6), but this is already one of the most useful things I've made in awhile.

Cleaned out and threw away all those unnecessary recipes. Am I really going to make Martha Stewart's home-distilled apple cider with barley-mint garnish? Or all those shrimp dishes I thought Aaron would like? No. I'm not. I don't like seafood - and in the summer when the grill is out he's more than welcome to be the chef with shrimp. Not me. I no longer pine for the days when I'll get over it and be fancy like that.
Getting ready for the Handmade Holiday Bazaar.
I'm trying to work out how I want stuff set up on my display plaques before I start putting nails in them. I thought that I would get as much on them as I can, but now I think they are going to be primarily for earrings, necklaces, and pendants. I think I'm going to keep bracelets in my wood trays.
I made a slew of these great hang tags that I decided that I can't use. If I do, they take up the whole plaque and look quite messy. So, I have to revisit that whole thing. Have to redo price tags and tumble everything so it's nice and shiny for Sunday
Out of the bags and into the bins. Finally. With seven kids and plenty of clothes being saved for this one and that one to grow into, we were overrun with garbage bags of clothing. It's all finally in bins. With labels. Life is sweet.

We all cleaned more crap out of the basement this past weekend and now I have more room to work in and Kevin installed two fluorescent light fixtures and a new electrical outlet which makes it so much easier to work in. Now I can see where my most used fabrics are in a quick glance, saves me so much time! The green basket holds my most used sewing and cutting supplies.
it's hereditary - it comes down from my grandmother to my mother to me. My Grandma has a complete cupboard (hardly opens) chalk full of recipes and books - my mom has almost an entire pastry cabinet dedicated to her cook books and clippings. I'm young yet, I've only got a drawer. But it's ugly. And it's overwhelming.
