Back in March, when I was teleworking full time, I decided to start cleaning out my closet of things I haven't worn in a couple years. After 10 months of tripping over it, its finally boxed up to go to the charity shop!

Last month on expedition while walking in a snowstorm for an acclimatization hike, I saw a moment to create a picture I have always wanted to take. Couldn't get the perfection I wanted but I am happy with this for now. Until days break of all to thoughts I've left at stake.

Charlie and I are getting close to the last 3 hikes on the KVR Trail Challenge.
We will have completed 59 miles of hiking on the Reserve.
In reality, with all of the out and back sections we've had to do along with repeats of trails while taking friends on the trails...
Charlie and I have probably hiked way over 75 miles since January 8th when we started.
Since this summer we've gone solo since my human hiking partner had to bow out.
We are reaching our goal one step at a time!
Not so much the game we played as kids...!!

It's the other game we play as slightly older kids courtesy of the lovely NHS!!
Plus it's free 'cos they care about us and are operating in a preventitive/early warning way!
"NHS bowel cancer screening checks. It's available to everyone aged 60 to 74 years.
The programme is expanding to make it available to everyone aged 50 to 59 years. This is happening gradually over 4 years and started in April 2021"
Do this, can you get that done, done and dusted, but wait a minute did you do that!! Not verbatim but this is what it sounds like before and after I do most little jobs around the house or in the garden - my wife loves me, of course! But when I came across this little sign sometime ago I just had to purchase it - my life in a few words!!

I was recently in the small Central American nation of Belize, and I couldn’t help but be amazed with how tough life is for so many citizens living there. Amidst this rough life, the people were extremely hospitable and happy. The experience was definitely a lesson in perseverance! This quote, “Persevere and get it done” comes from George Allen, Senior. My brother Chris is responsible for this great photograph – love it!
