My wife and I ventured across the state yesterday to visit a couple of iced-over lighthouses. This is the St. Joseph North Pier Light. It was brutally cold, but as always, so much fun.

I like to get collect shot glasses. I even had to stop putting them out at parties b/c someone would inevitably break one. This one is my fave. It's from NY's MTV headquarters and it says, "stirrin' shit up since 1981". that's my birth year. haha..

Remember that time when I said that I don't really like watching other people's family drama? I might have been lying.
Because Igby Goes Down is one of my favourite movies of all time.
Just think: The very first thing you see on screen is Igby suffocating his mother with a plastic bag. This movie really spans every social class: millionaire to homeless....harvard to heroine.
This movie is so darkly disfunctional. A charming, bizarre and cute downward spiral.
I decided to depict Amanda Peet's character, mainly because I have a big thing for her, especially after seeing her in Studio 60. Any woman who can look that good, talk that fast and keep up with Aaron Sorkin's dialog is always going to have a place in my heart. .....So what if she's a coked up dancer in this movie? I still love her.
So here we move toward rock bottom.

I think this may have been one of - if not the first - shot of his that brought me to his stream. Not only do his photos rock, but he is so nice too. Here's to you, Mr. Hughes!
