I was hoping to visit the eagle nest's in the area today, but When I got up this morning it was really overcast out. However, when I noticed the sun making an attempt to shine I decided to head out anyway. At all three of the nest I visited I found one of the pair apparently sitting on egg(s) and the mate nowhere around. I decided to set up shop and wait a bit at the third nest hoping that the mate would return with food as the usually do. I was onlythere about an hour when I saw the female in the nest craning her neck to look at something in the distance. Moments later I heard the familiar call of the male as he approached from over my shoulder. He began circling over head conversing back and forth with mom in the nest. Below is a translation of their conversation:
Male: "Honey, are you sure you want sushi again? We just had it for breakfast"
Female: "Yes I want sushi! Getback over to the lake and get me some sushi"
Male: "Oooookay, I'll be back in a little bit..."
Female: "don't take all night, I am hungry!"
(20 minutes later)
Male: "Honey, I'm back..."
Female: "Where's my sushi?!?"
Male: Wellllll, you see, what had happened was...."
Female: "OMG, can't you do anything right? Come sit on the egg and I will go catch my own sushi!"
