Again, I annoy my wife. When she's not looking I pilfer items from her jewelry box and take snapshots of them. Problem is, I kind of fade in and out. I get distracted by shiny things (meaning, The Internet), and then I end up leaving her jewelry around the house in odd places, so she inevitably has to come to me and ask me, "Where is my necklace?" or, "Where is my dialysis machine?" And I'm like, uhhh. Good question. Hey, did you see this Daily Show clip?
Me, I think I'm doing her a favor. I think it's fun living with me. Life is like one big Scavenger Hunt, right? A hilarious game! Maybe? Sorta? Please?

Today I wanted to show you how some of the patterns that I’ve previously shown you for ‘My pattern design of the week’ would look like as wallpapers. The patters have been slightly changed and I’ve also added a few other design elements to them where I thought the design needed a little extra work.

It is easy to see what the architects were trying to do — that is, it is easy to see the one big idea they wanted to express: a particular geometric pattern, spread over a large surface — but the resulting building is not good enough, not attractive enough.

Strips of copper imprinted with a fun geometric pattern were formed into hoops that drop down from handmade argentium sterling silver earwires. The earwires simply snap into the holes in the backs of the hoops with light pressure. These are lightweight and just something a little different from your everyday hoops!
I enjoyed this exercise. I like some of my designs but I would be happier to write a bit "less" rubbish to accompany them :). © Dawn Clarkson
This was my most complicated panel yet and caused a lot of confusion in the working out stages. It is based on a 12 point star. This type of pattern would suggest symbolism to do with the universe being in flux around a fixed point it mirrors the North Star which is fixed as the night sky revolves around it. If you wanted to get a bit Dan Brown about it you might say that 12 points hinging round a 13th fixed point is a recurring image through history from Christ and his 12 followers at the last supper to King Arthur and his round table.
