With the escalation of Hurricane Joaquin, the International Sandsculpting Championship tent was, unfortunately, forced to shut down early. Hopefully, you can get a sense of the quality of the artwork and artists that the Neptune Festival draws each year (even if you did not get to visit the 2015 show).

The Virginia Aquarium released a rehabilitated sea turtle today, 26 June.
Shredder the sea turtle was accidentally caught by a recreational fisherman off the Little Island Fishing Pier in Sandbridge May 23. The fish hook was removed at the aquarium and Shredder’s throat has healed.
