Thank you to all my friends and followers who have viewed, faved & commented on my latest work. You are, as ever, so generous to me and I appreciate your support so much.
This is just a little update to let you know that I will be getting back to you as soon as I can to enjoy your lovely work, as you know I like to catch up with all your galleries.
I am more behind than usual as I have just had to undergo some extensive dental work, as I have been in some discomfort for some time. But apart from my face still feeling numb from the anaesthetic a day on I am feeling much better! Bit more sleep will work wonders no doubt.
Then I will be getting back to you all.
I thought you might like to see an image of my latest purchase….recently, I have been converting what used to be termed a ‘drawing room’ [which basically meant it contained the telly and a sofa in it!] to a second ‘office’ and reading room for me, as my top attic space in my Victorian house in the summer is becoming like a furnace and far too hot to work in at certain times of the year. This downstairs room is perfect as it is the coolest in the house, and as we don’t use it like we used to, it made much more sense to turn it into something else where it will be used to help me in my endeavours!
So I bought a Mahogany Wood Victorian Desk. I had been looking for some time for the right one, and eventually I found this one - dated 1815 to 1890, when the furniture makers were in business, based in London.
So now it is sitting quite nicely in the bay window, with an early Victorian chair that I already had. I tried other modern chairs but they were the wrong height. This was perfect.
I know a writer used this desk originally, as there are ink stains in the drawers, which I absolutely love, so I feel that the desk has come back to a Victorian home where it hopefully belongs.
Writing and taking photographs is my life, so I am hoping to share more of that journey with you. But now...its time for some more painkillers!

I bought myself a Nikon D3300 yesterday - I had been tempted to test it for a long time. Doing some macro in the yard yesterday was so much fun ! And so many more tricks to learn from it. Just look at the EXIF to check on technical data my friends. 😊🍀💕
The new building of the Court of Law of Amsterdam was opened today and I went to look at the huge statue (5 metres high) in its forecourt. It's a sculpture by Nicole Eisenman (1965-) with the name 'Love or Generosity'. The playful - note his striped pants - giant lad is examining what he's collected in his right - law is right - hand. There's the Owl of wisdom and knowledge, the Arrow of perseverance and focus, and the Acorn of growth and patience.
Curiously, no reference to law's duty to impartially correct injustice and to punish evil... unless I'm missing something.

These gorgeous handmade ornaments were given me by a generous, grand and artistic friend! Though there are 4 photos, two of them are a view of the same ornament. These three glorious creations are on the Christmas tree at Riversong, our Alabama home on the Elk River. The other three are on the Christmas tree at Lagniappe, our home in New Orleans! I couldn't not bear to leave all in New Orleans, and I expect the other three will be coming back here to reside on the big tree for the rest of the holidays! But OH! How we are enjoying them on each tree! Such sparkle to catch the eye, and remind us of those we love!
To my amusement, I was generously granted several dirt showers during that racing event. This one here was one of them. There is no photo available of the passing race car, just guess why!

These generous clouds left appreciable amounts of rain over Madrid, on a typically spring day. After the rains the sun came out, leaving a sunny and bright afternoon, though the rainfall seems to be returning during the late evening and night.
These beneficial precipitations left up to 50 liters per square meter in the Sierra de Madrid and around half in the city.
Much encouragement to all, thank you very much for being at home, for complying with the confinement and respecting the rules. Together, we will defeat the virus.

My intended schedule may estimate about 1 month round trip self drive traveling down scenic Southern Island of New Zealand for completing the most captivating landscape photography and wander into the big five, the wilderness of untamed Africa nature for my project 2016 before my physical body stamina eventually drain off.
During the course, I also welcome sponsor's to provide daily lodging/accommodation, car rental/transportation, Fox Glacier helicopter ride and other logistic funding expenses, provide photographic camera equipments or related accessories .

Yesterday, the BL team delivering school kits in a poor community. So sad to see many barefeet children receving classes at school, without uniforms as parents can't afford them, others hungry waiting for the meal offered by the government (thank God for those meals! usually rice and beans). Poverty is not a joke specially for the most vulnerable ones.

Yesterday, I was surprised with a generous act. One of my friends gave me an Helios-44-2 F2.0 ! Glass from the Ural !
This 50 years old lens is a real gem. In my twenties I was too stupid to understand its positive sides. Since then I always regretted its loss. Today in my seventies, I'm mighty pleased it returned in my "palet".
