Echoes of the Earth: A Tribute to the Human and Natural Condition
Description (English)
This photographic series serves as a visual exploration of the raw interplay between the majesty of the untouched world and the visceral reality of human existence. Inspired by the tradition of social documentary and environmental photography, the collection traverses diverse landscapes: from the ancient, gnarled silhouettes of baobabs in arid plains and misty, primeval rainforests to the epic, grueling atmosphere of open-pit mining.
The use of high-contrast monochrome serves to emphasize texture—the grain of the earth, the mist in the valleys, and the weathered skin of those who inhabit these spaces. Each frame seeks to capture a moment of "monumental intimacy," where the scale of nature and the weight of labor are rendered with equal gravity. From the rhythmic light filtering through a communal maloca to the dramatic struggle of workers ascending muddy depths, the series reflects on the Anthropocene, the beauty of indigenous cultures, and the enduring power of the natural world.

I think that AI image generation is similar in many ways to photography. The camera itself handles all the fine details, but the photographer is in charge of curating the types of images that will be created.
Ultimately, it is all about maximizing the probability that something good will be created.
This is very similar to AI image generation, in terms of the skills involved and what the human does vs. what the machine does.
You can't compare AI image generation to the process of actually making these images from scratch with 3D software or paint/pencils, where the human controls every detail.
However, I think the process really is very similar to that of photography, as I made the case for above. I think that DALL-E 3 is by far the most powerful AI image generation tool currently available.

I didn't plan to continue making more AI images because I thought my collection (9,000+ images) was too large, but I decided to make some more.

DALL-E 3 struggles creating realistic and accurate trains. Often, the trains are off the rails; the rails themselves are wonky; the carriages are riddled with errors, etc. The trains that are produced without errors though are a real treat!
