Just messing around tonight. This is a tiny part of the Mandelbrot set, rendered with software I found on the Internet. I used to write code to do stuff like this, back in the day, using a supercomputer at the Lab for rendering. Nowadays your average desktop machine is just as fast as a ten million dollar supercomputer was 25 years ago.
Although the software did the rendering, I adjusted the crop and coloration myself using Photoshop. Useful practice to improve my aesthetic sensibility ...

This is the State Line Power Plant located at the junction of Illinois, Indiana, and Lake Michigan. Due to the pollution it bellows out this plant is scheduled to be closed down in 2014.
Shot on a day when the temperatures in Chicago dipped to -25 F in some spots. Every building in town had steam seeping from it but on the industrial side of town every plume was massive.
I tired something new on this shot. I used a polarizing filter to generate different exposures to make an HDR image.

Decommissioned in 2013, this was once the largest coal-powered generating station in North America, and one of Canada's top-10 single sources of greenhouse gases.
A bit south and west of Craig was Ute Junction located at MP A3.0 on the Axial Spur. This was the beginning of the Ute Spur which 6 miles further down the line was Ute Generating Station. Most days would find Rio Grande's Ute Shuttle back and forth between the loadout at Axial and the power plant at Ute, however on this particular day this train loaded at Energy.
Location: Klipheuwel near Durbanville.
Description: On Friday afternoon my mate Andre and I decided to visit some of Durbanville’s most photogenic subjects to see if we could find any new and interesting compositions.
Of course we simply had to go and check out the three gigantic wind generators that are parked in a field near the small village of Klipheuwel.
Here's a shot of Andre generating some photographs. :)

The University Green Heart project has walkways through the open parkland. At certain spots there is energy generating tiles paving. Here I am generating electricity by walking over the voltaic cells

This is part of a series of cyanotypes based on images generated with a prompt referencing Rosalind E. Krauss’s Originality of the Avant-Garde, which illustrates critical art theory in a sense.

Rainbow caused by the spray generated by the kilotonne of water cascading over VIctoria Falls every second. The volume of spray is so great it generates a micro-rain forest of several hundred metres a side.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres.
Even if it requires utter destruction of human lives. The British Medical Journal published an investigation report on Clinical Trials of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. It is publicly available. Read for yourself.
I know I'm posting this really early, but I wont be uploading show pieces for a while since I'll be working hard these upcoming weeks on my show at 1988:LA in March 3.09.
