General Tso's chicken is our new Friday dinner tradition, especially when neither of us feel like cooking. We buy it frozen at the grocery store & mix in our own rice and veggies.

aka the Tso-boy - Leidenheimer's bread, Gen Tso's chicken from the Chinese joint down the street. Dressed, no pickles. Turns out the rich creamy mayo and spicy chicken are a perfect pair.

November 16, 2020 - A visit to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium where my friend Tracy and I got to take part in the Red Panda Experience.

And fried rice. I had to try General Tso's chicken after I'd heard everyone go on and on about it. And dang, it's tasty! This humongous plate (Mirna and I split it) also came with a large egg roll.
Gosh, it's really really yellow and red. Why is the fried rice that yellow?!

Better than Ants Bistro in Box Hill with the 左宫鸡 Minister Chicken in its sweet, tangy and spicy sauce a favourite among my colleagues!
The fried dumplings are also quite good with moist fillings in a thin chewy pastry. I prefer the pastry to be a bit thicker for more bite. The beef dumplings also had a finely chopped Chinese celery which is a good combination.
We also had a taste of the noodles in hot and sour soup which was quite spicy and garlicky. Very nice. A bargain at AUD7.

Update 2009.12.11: I'm wondering if this is actually 左宗棠雞 General Tso's Chicken... with the "general" upgraded to "minister".
