The trick to building camouflage with LEGO is to change direction of the demarcation lines between two colours at most after three studs. I haven't quite managed that everywhere on this model, mainly due to a lack of small dark green plates, but the overall result isn't far off and is a reasonable match for the camouflage on the real aircraft.

This is the General Dynamics call center located in the Tri-County Square shopping center at 14892 US 25-E in Corbin, KY. It originally opened as a Winn-Dixie supermarket sometime in the mid-1980s, and it, along with Goody’s Family Clothing, would serve as the anchors of the shopping center. Winn-Dixie would close in 2000, and about a couple years later, a call center called Vangent would take over the space. Vangent would be renamed General Dynamics, and would remain in this space until 2018. At that time, General Dynamics moved to a newer facility in nearby London, and the space would remain vacant until March 25, 2020, when Ollie’s Bargain Outlet opened in the space.

The six bombs mounted on the outboard hardpoints add a fair bit of weight. Swivelling the hardpoints by simply mounting them onto a single stud would make them too weak. Instead I used on of the strongest one-stud connections that LEGO makes: a jumper plate stuck into the bottom of a 2x2 plate modified with a hole.

F-111A 67-0047 The aircraft was delivered to the USAF on October 27, 1968. Was retired from the 389th TFTS, 366th TFW at Mountain Home, and AFB on August 31, 1990, and had accumulated 2,031 flights and 4,855.1 flight hours. It was used as a ground trainer at Sheppard AFB.(Seems a incorrect ST tail code however)

In June 1980 F-16's of five NATO countries came to Leeuwarden for tests. The program was called MOT&E (Multinational Operational Test and Evaluation). The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and the US all had two jets available.

“The U.S. Air Force Consolidated Vultee 774, first U.S. Air Force missile [matching?] the size of the German V-2, is shown [during?] launching preparations at White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico. Its 32-foot length may be compared with the technician standing by the launching stand. (The V-2 is about 45 feet long). Powered by a liquid-fuel rocket motor, it has reached supersonic speeds. The 774, over two years in development, was first fired last summer and several launchings without incident have been made since then. It was designed to test the operation of advanced types of rocket vehicles and for experimentation with new launching techniques, handling devices, fuels and rocket propulsion motors. In addition, it is suitable for upper atmosphere research, being one of the few rocket vehicles available potentially capable of attaining altitudes of more than 100 miles. Although outwardly similar to the V-2, the 774 incorporates many design improvements, including a stabilization device insuring better launching characteristics.”
