This piece was originally created back in 2009 and it has taken me all this time to complete it. It originally started life as a cuff ... but it was not to be. Introducting 'Peeper'.
Peeping from within a carpet of swaying Swarovski crystals is a vintage porcelain doll face. Peeper is surrounded by lots of Swarovski crystals 2mm (Golden Shadow) and 3mm (Jet)beads. The circular frame has been created using polymer clay, the textured surface of the frame has been highlighted with wax metallic paints to give it a lovely soft faux aged patina.
The circumference of the pendant has been beadwoven using peyote stitch, Delicas and Toho Treasure glass cylinder beads. The beading gently wraps around to the reverse of the pendant which has been sealed with fawn coloured Ultrasuede.
The necklace strap has been created using hard to source, smooth glossy Black Spinel tumbled gemstone beads, small faceted Onyx gemstone beads and facted glass beads. The clasp has been beadwoven and showcases two Swarovski 6mm bicones in Jet.
The Peeper Pendant is 6cm across or approx 2inches.. the necklace strap is 25cms or just over 9.5 inches

I chose the Bombyx mori moth (latin for silkworm of the mulberry tree) because it is used in traditional chinese medicine. So I thought it was fitting for this charity auction benefitting Doctors Without Borders.

Some yummy new rough gemstone nugget beads! I was planning to use these for bracelets. The blue ones are Amazonite, and the peach and grey is Multi-Moonstone.

An Ear Sweep is an earring that goes in your normal piercing but climbs UP the ear. Makes it look like multiple piercings but you only need the one hole. There is a wire part up the back, sort of like a bobby pin, that holds it securely.
A stylised golden plant grows out of a pot, against a grey-blue background on the charm of this bangle.
A small, concave formed tin disc is riveted into a matching fit copper dish. The rear of the copper dish is textured with a subtle embossed texture and the teeny tube rivet is on the inside of the dish only. The charm with it's fragment of reclaimed tin, dangles happily from a copper formed bangle, textured with my own handmade punches and is complemented by a second charm of Tigereye gemstone and a grey-blue glass bead. A loop and toggle clasp allow for easy use, whilst the copper has been heat treated to achieve rich patina tones.
