Diese Pflanze habe ich im Wald gefunden und kenne deren Namen nicht. Das Pentagramm hat einen Durchmesser von ca 1 cm (außen). - I found this plant in the woods. I dont know its name. The diameter of the pentagon is about 1 cm (at the outside)

Letzes Jahr hatten wir einen ganz besonderen Wintergast an der Nordsee. Die Sperbereule hielt sich mehrere Wochen dort auf und hat dann hoffentlich den Weg in ihre Heimat nach Skandinavien zurück gefunden.
Last year we had a very special winter guest on the North Sea. This Hawk owl stood some weeks there and hopefully found the way home to Scandinavia.

This tree without leaves and at this beautiful sunset, is located in the municipality of Pedro Alexandre, Bahia, Brazil. Located in the backlands of Bahia, the plants suffer a lot from the lack of rain, so they are left without leaves, apparently dead, giving the impression of a dry tree. When the rains come, these same trees have their leaves and flowers again in some cases. On very sunny days, the temperature can easily reach 43 degrees Celsius, and at sunset like this, it feels like it's burning.

Esta árvore sem folhas e neste belo por do sol, está localizada no município de Pedro Alexandre, Bahia, Brasil. Localizada no sertão da Bahia, as plantas sofrem muito com a falta de chuva, assim elas ficam sem folhas, aparentemente mortas, dando impressão de árvore seca. Quando vem as chuvas, estas mesmas árvores, voltam a ter suas folhas e flores em alguns casos. Em dias de sol muito forte, a temperatura pode chegar facilmente aos 43 graus Celsius, e no por do sol como este, dá a impressão de que está queimando.
NEPAL, Royal Chitwan-Nationalpark
Rhinoceros: since 1973 the population has recovered well and increased to 544 animals around the turn of the century. To ensure the survival of the endangered species in case of epidemics animals are translocated annually from Chitwan to the Bardia National Park and the Sukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve since 1986. However, the population has repeatedly been jeopardized by poaching: in 2002 alone, poachers killed 37 individuals in order to saw off and sell their valuable horns.[6] Chitwan has the largest population of Indian rhinoceros in Nepal, estimated at 605 individuals out of 645 in total in the country.
Der Park ist bekannt für die Population des Panzernashorns, die bis zur Jahrtausendwende auf 544 Tiere und bis zum Frühjahr 2015 auf 645 Nashörner[6] angewachsen war. Seit 1986 werden alljährlich Tiere von Chitwan in den Bardia-Nationalpark und in das Suklaphanta-Wildreservat übersiedelt. Die Population war aber immer wieder durch Wilderei stark gefährdet: allein im Jahre 2002 haben Wilderer 37 Tiere grausam getötet, um das kostbare Horn absägen und verkaufen zu können.[1] Die letzte Zählung im Jahr 2011 ergab insgesamt 503 Nashörner im Park, im selben Zeitraum starben zwei Tiere durch Wilderer. Bei der Zählung im Frühjahr 2015 wurden 645 Tiere in Nepal gefunden[6], davon 605 im Chitwan-Nationalpark[8], während gleichzeitig in den letzten drei Jahren kein Tier durch Wilderer ums Leben kam.

Parc national de KRKA en Dalmatie
Le parc se compose de chutes d’eau qui se sont créées sur la rivière Krka grâce à la formation de travertin.
il possède une faune et une flore riche et variée.
En traversant le parc, parcouru de petits ruisseaux et petites cascades se déversant dans un immense lac, on croit avoir trouvé le Paradis sur terre...

Ich habe diesen kleinen Kerl in einer Rose gefunden. Der ständige Wind machte diese Aufnahme zu einem Geduldsspiel. Allerdings weiß ich nicht, was es ist.
I found this little guy in a rose. The constant wind made this recording a game of patience. However, I don't know what it is.
Location: The river Prüm in Irrel in the South Eifel near the Luxembourg border and not far from my home.
Looking for new perspectives today I found this place, where you stand in the water. There I hear then only the sound of water, a true meditation.
Ort: Das Flüsschen Prüm bei Irrel in der Südeifel nahe der luxemburgischen Grenze und nicht weit von meiner Heimat.
Auf der Suche nach neuen Perspektiven habe ich heute diese Stelle gefunden, bei der man auch ins Wasser muss. Dort höre ich dann nur das Rauschen des Wassers, eine wahre Meditation.

Heute haben wir bei uns Vollmond. Hatte für heute Abend schon eine Location in Frankfurt ausgesucht. Leider keine Chance, Dauerregen und dicht Wolken.
Ein kleines bisschen Mond habe ich auf diesem Bild im Januar gefunden. Aufgenommen kurz vor Sonnenaufgang bei uns auf einer Lichtung im Wald.

This is the 800th photo I show on Flickr. 2021 also marks my 8th year on Flickr (I became a member in 2013), and, as most of you know, I've also re-discovered photos I've taken during a trip to Usedom (Baltic Sea) back in 2013. A nice coincidence, isn't it? So I decided to choose a photo from that trip as my 800th upload. I've learned a lot about photography during these past eight Flickr years. Back then, for instance, whenever there were clouds on a day I wanted to go out to take photos, I used to think "Stupid clouds, I want a blue sky." Nowadays, whenever I go out to take photos, and the sky is blue, blue, and only blue, I think "Nice, but I wish there were at least a few clouds." ;) So I had not been happy about the clouds on the day I took this photo, but I'm happy about them in retrospect, because they add such a nice drama to the image. Isn't it a good thing that we never stop learning?
Like my previous upload, this is another re-edit of a photo I've already uploaded to Flickr years ago. It's also a slider, because it's Sunday :) Processed in DXO PhotoLab 4, Lightroom, Color Efex, and Luminar AI – and the main difference to the original photo (please check out the first comment), apart from a bolder, more colourful processing, is the swallow. Which I've borrowed from another photo taken on that day at this same jetty at the Kölpinsee, a small lake 200 metres behind the Baltic Sea shoreline. This photo had the better, more harmonious point of view, the other photo, taken from a lower angle of view (so you couldn't really sea much of the lake) had the swallow, so why not combine both :)

Dies ist mein 800. Foto, das ich auf Flickr zeige :) Zufälligerweise ist es auch mein 8. Jahr hier bei Flickr, 2013 bin ich beigetreten, und da ich, wie Ihr ja wisst, kürzlich beim Durchstöbern meines Archivs den Ordner mit Usedom-Fotos vom Mai 2013 (wieder)gefunden habe, dachte ich, dass für "Nr. 800" ein Bild aus meinem Flickr-Beitrittsjahr gut passen würde ;) In diesen acht Jahren habe ich viel über Fotografie gelernt. Z.B. war ich hier damals gar nicht glücklich über die vielen Wolken gewesen, ein "schöner" Fotohimmel hatte doch bitte blau zu sein. Das sehe ich heute natürlich ganz anders – und so bin ich im Rückblick sogar sehr froh über diesen dramatischen Wolkenhimmel. Wie gut, dass wir nie aufhören zu lernen :)
Wie schon mein vorheriger Upload ist auch dies eine Neubearbeitung eines Fotos, dass ich schon vor Jahren hier hochgeladen hatte (Ihr findet es wieder im ersten Kommentar). Der Hauptunterschied zum Original, abgesehen von der kräftigeren, farbenfrohen Neugestaltung, ist natürlich die Schwalbe, die ich mir von einem anderen Foto, das ich an jenem Tag an diesem Bootssteg am Kölpinsee (200 Meter hinter der Ostseeküste gelegen) aufgenommen hatte, geliehen habe. Dieses Foto hat den harmonischeren Blickwinkel, das andere Foto, am Anfang des Stegs und aus einer viel tieferen Position aus aufgenommen, sodass man nur wenig vom so schön glitzernden See sehen konnte, hatte die Schwalbe. Warum also nicht beide kombinieren, es ist ja schließlich (Sliders) Sonntag: Aus zwei mach eins :)

The last few days I have seen many of them fly, but unfortunately I have not found any in his sleeping place yet. So I went to the archive and discovered an unpublished picture, photographed exactly 10 years ago today.
