Day 261
14 February 2010
To all of you who read my blog on a weekly basis, all three of you, you know that I change the design every 6-8 months. I'm not really sure why I do it, I guess I get bored with the design and want to try something new. Having said that, I had been messing around with a new design, design number 6, for the past month and over the course of that time, I asked for my wife's opinion on more than one occassion. I'm quite certain she couldn't care less, but she was always a good sport about it.
So this morning when I woke up to see my Valentine's Day card addressed to 'www.jonathanfean.com/love', I about fell over laughing. It was perfect! So anyway, a big thanks to my lovely wife Robyn for embracing my inner geekdom over all these years.
Endless hours of sci-fi television geekdom can be attributed to one Gene Roddenberry. I'm not necessarily saying I wasn't one of those people and I'm not necessarily saying I was one of those people.

I wish someone had brought a few hundred printed paper Master faces and had a crowd all hold them up. It would have been hilarious.

The last CONvergence Con-Comm meeting was held today since, in about 10 day's time, we'll be setting it up and letting it go. I feel, this year, as if I'm better prepared than most. Sure, I still have some stuff to do but I've got a great team helping me run the Gaming department and we're more organized than before.
The Radish Tree hotel (aka the former Radisson, aka the former Sheraton, aka the current Double Tree) is where big fannish events have been organized for decades in the Twin Cities. It is the home of CONvergence and the place where we have all our meetings. Here it stands: stately and waiting for the geeky masses to descend up on it!
