This is one Stinky Old Photograph: This photo was taken a while back and the amount of camera gear I have has grown by leaps and bounds (not sure yet if this is a good or bad thing). You can see the new gear photo by going here.

Original Desc: Well here it is, my camera gear...all indivudally noted and all strewn out for the world to see. 90% of it was bought in the last 10 months. It all fits in the camera bags at the top and the bags are normally packed to the brim with the gear.

My wife is a very patient and kind soul but I think I'm at the limit for a good long while, when I was arranging this stuff on the bed to take photo of it in our guest room she just about snapped seeing everything laying there. If I buy much else I will probably be justifiably shot, so if I stop suddenly posting to Flickr you'll know I likely got a new piece of gear and was subsequently killed.

I enjoy a number of hobbies (music, cars, cycling, camping, boating, technology and more), but one of the things I like about photography is it's a hobby that can be incorperated into every other hobby and aspect of life. In photography I've found something that I really, really enjoy and is a way I can have a semi-creative outlet for my soul. But as cool as photography is, music is still my main passion and I think that's the way it will always be...

At the moment my everyday life is so stressful that I don't have time for analog photography. I prefer to use the little free time for digital images. But in summer, a film will be loaded again ... or even two or three ;-)

Ever since I first read about cameras with dedicated black and white sensors, I had an itch to try one. What relief!

I did it....I picked up an X100V.

UPDATE: This is an old photo my camera line up has changed a LOT... Click Here to the new rig.

A quick snapshot of the main components of my camera setup. I decided I needed a photo of the family all together (the occassion was my new Canon 10-22mm f/3.4-4.5 EF-S ultra wide zoom lens).

Photo taken with my Canon Digital ELPH Powershot S400, it's old but it still is quite functional and has been to hell and back and still takes photos without question.

My craziest looking combo

I have been dreaming of owning a 1D body since I started out with my 350D long ago. The day has come, and now the !D mark IV has been added to the family.

Do you still use a 10+ year old camera?

HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mm f4.5-6.3 PLM

I was never really happy with the previous generations M series cameras. AF and image quality was not great, and it was missing some features the DSLR's do have. I have used the original EOS M and M3, and when the R came around, I abandoned ship, and went with that. For some reason, the M6 mark II was still appealing for some use cases and as a backup for the R. Let's see if it will get a permanent place in my bag.

My new ultra-wide zoom lens... A Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 EF-S, with the Canon EW-83E lens hood attached (reduces lens flair).

There is also a Hoya Super HMC 77mm UV(0) fitler attached.

A really cool camera. Have no choice but to play with it.

Nikon D700 & Pentax K1ii

I shot with a D700 from 2008 - 2012 (go back and look at my albums they're sorted by year). I sold it when I moved back to Texas from Alaska, right before I joined the Peace Corps. I needed the money then, I should have never sold it...so I bought this used on with only 30k clicks and a Katz Eye split prism focusing screen installed.

Just arrived, ready to play 😊

Following on from yesterdays video where I pitch the classic Takumar 50/1.4 8 element lens against the 7 element version, I shall be comparing the 50/1.2 lenses (K and A) and how they hold up against the Tak50 in particular. Stay tuned!

The Super Ikonta is an iconic line of medium format folding cameras made by Zeiss Ikon between 1933 and 1959, covering formats 645, 6x6, 6x9, and even 6.5x11, and in several generations. The 532/16 is the second generation of the 6x6 folders. It was made before and after the war, with the difference mostly just being the lens coating. My copy is pre-war and the lens is uncoated. The 532/16 boasts an elegant Art Deco design which was mostly missing from its successors. Some innovative features like the coupled combined rangefinder/viewfinder and the automatic frame counter would become standard on later models. See the little arm with round glasses integrated to the lens assembly? That is Zeiss’ rangefinder coupling system based on rotating glass wedges, very different from the cam-based coupling we are more familiar with. I absolutely love the experience of operating this folder - yes it slows me down but I appreciate it every time I roll the lens out.

Nearly everything from both my Crumpler Zoomiverse XL and Domke F-3X bag.

I don't carry this around all of the time ;-) but i pack it according to what i'm about to shoot that day or weekend.

I recently bought a secondhand Sigma 120-400 as a temporary lens for an upcoming airshow. I would really like to have the 70-200 Nikon but as you can see from all of the stuff.. I'm pretty much broke ;-) lol

If I had been thinking, I could have added my Exa with Primoplan as well.

There are not too many changes to my kit since my 2022 image. The largest change is that I now use the Fujifilm X-H2 and the Fujifilm X-T4 primarily serves as my second body.

It's a day late, but here is #21/52. It's my "stealthed up" Canon A-1 with the lovely Canon FD 50 f/1.4 - my fastest lens to date! Again, a nice example from the Helios 44-3. Bokeh!

I sold my previous 40D a long time ago, to finance a 5D mark II. Recently, I found a nice deal on another 40D, so I decided to buy another one, to add to the collection.

Are you still using an 'old' camera?
