In early July of 2012, someone from GE contacted me about building a Lego locomotive for the head of their design team. They couldn't show me pictures of the actual loco they wanted me to build, so they had me build an ES44DC in demonstrator colors. (I'll post the render soon.) They wanted it done by mid-August and they wanted instructions because they wanted to build it themselves. I managed to pull it off in time and the GE team almost pulled it off in time for the 2015 locomotive release. This is my tribute to the GE Team in Erie. Thanks guys!
Back in August of 2012, GE released their Tier 4 emissions locomotive. It will spend some time in Pueblo, CO being tested before going out on the road for some real world tests. I'm not sure what it's even called, but the production version will probably look slightly different anyway. It's like an ES44AC with the upper vents of an AC6000.
Before I started this build, I had a fairly big bag of ever-awesome lime bricks and I thought I should have plenty to build this; no problem. Well, like some famous Lego builder once said, "It's not about how many pieces you have, it's about how many of the same piece you have." So after WAY too many BL orders it's finally done. The vent colors may need to be tweaked here and there, but overall I'm pretty happy with the way this one came out.
My last night in London. My feet hurt. My clothes smelled. And all my socks were wet. Gross. Fortunately this view was just downstairs from a cozy hotel room - I couldn't help myself taking one last shot (for now anyway).
2.5 minute exposure, lens shifted to the left a couple of degrees to get the whole structure in the shot and keep things straight.

Sad Clown only wanted to vent his frustration, but Cooling Off Day just wasn't the most appropriate date to do so.
(Cooling Off Day is the designated day where no election rallies are to be held, and politicians are not allowed to post elections-related messages in the media and on social media.)

Back in August of 2012, GE released their Tier 4 emissions locomotive. It will spend some time in Pueblo, CO being tested before going out on the road for some real world tests. I'm not sure what it's even called, but the production version will probably look slightly different anyway. It's like an ES44AC with the upper vents of an AC6000.
Before I started this build, I had a fairly big bag of ever-awesome lime bricks and I thought I should have plenty to build this; no problem. Well, like some famous Lego builder once said, "It's not about how many pieces you have, it's about how many of the same piece you have." So after WAY too many BL orders it's finally done. The vent colors may need to be tweaked here and there, but overall I'm pretty happy with the way this one came out.

Finally finished the other side of GE 2015, the new tier 4 prototype from GE. It's a weird scheme so I'm on the fence about building it.
