Sefton Park, Aigburth Road Entrance Gates

I had one in front of the gate with a guard standing in front of it which I principally liked better but I messed up the separation from the background on that one.

In the background, Seoul's main station is visible.

Keeping the horses safe. The horse is a stunner.

I was wandering home down a country lane when this very red sun caught the corner of my eye as it crept down to sleep behind this gate - it has a nest there .....

There's a humpback whale in the sky too.......

.....fancy that - in Wales!

Camera Club walk last night to practice street photography. Seems I like to take photos of gates and spiders!!

This gate leads into my forest where I have had loads of lovely hikes high up in the mountain, now its newly painted.

It looks quite inviting, doesn't it😁

The Lion Gate was the main entrance of the Bronze Age citadel of Mycenae, southern Greece. It was erected during the 13th century BC, around 1250 BC in the northwest side of the acropolis and is named after the relief sculpture of two lionesses or lions in a heraldic pose that stands above the entrance.

The Lion Gate is the sole surviving monumental piece of Mycenaean sculpture, as well as the largest sculpture in the prehistoric Aegean. It is the only monument of Bronze Age Greece to bear an iconographic motif that survived without being buried underground, and the only relief image which was described in the literature of classical antiquity, such that it was well known prior to modern archaeology. I should point out that I was standing in deep shadow at the edge of the graveyard, looking out over sunlit fields. The symbolism, I trust, is obvious.

Finally the time is here!

Today the gates will be opened.

11.00 AM sl time we will kick of with an opening party and I would be delighted if you joined us!

Come explore or party with us and I hope you will have as much fun here as I had creating it.

This sim is created to emulate and elicit the feel in the watercolor paintings done by Andrew Wyeth. Melancholy, nostalgia, starkness and the crispness of his work. You will find spots throughout the sim where you can find recreations of some of his paintings and you can pose, take pictures and create your own art work as you like it.

I hope you enjoy!

From 11.00 AM you can find us:

Matthew 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 âEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
