The Opera Garnier was perhaps one of the most interesting places I visited in Paris. Unfortunately, the many people who had flooded the place make the life of a photographer incredibly difficult, and this resulted in me failing to get the shots I wanted. So I tried some closed shots like this. And there were definitely three people here, but I managed to delete them in photoshop.

Although it is a French company Société Le Nickel (SLN) was actually founded by the Rothschild family who have been at the centre many and varied conspiracy theories some of which have included the control over governments and economies.

However in 1880 they carefully eluded the fact that they listed as founders of SLN.

Today SLN is listed on the Euronext Paris exchange and it is a French mining and metallurgy company with multinational standing.

Architecture Opera Garnier Paris

The Palais Garnier is probably the most famous opera house in the world, a symbol of Paris like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, or the Sacré Coeur Basilica.

This is at least partly due to its use as the setting for Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera and, especially, the novel's subsequent adaptations in films and Andrew Lloyd Webber's popular 1986 musical.
