The work incorporates traditional block printing techniques alongside the use of stencils and free from design.
The funeral garments and trousseaux of the pre-Columbian elites were decorated with plates and pendants made of these precious metals. Although these were ornaments with generally delicate and small elements, they were finely worked and showed detailed symbolic motifs.
