Lake Garda or Benaco is the largest lake in Italy. Its widest part, to the south, is surrounded by moraine hills left over from glacier recession, while the narrow northern part is enclosed by mountains that create its fjord-like configuration and provide a very mild Mediterranean climate.

Der Gardasee ist unser Lieblingsziel, insbesondere für kürzere, aber auch längere Urlaube. Wenn wir zur "Badewanne Münchens" wie man ihn manchmal scherzhaft nennt, kommen, dann ist das fast wie nach Hause zu kommen. Dieses Bild entstand am Hafen von Brenzone sul Garda nach einem äußerst leckeren Frühstück.

Der Gardasee gehört seit Jahrzehnten zu unseren liebsten Urlaubszielen. Er ist einfach wunderschön. Hier ein Blick von der Rocca die Garda auf den See und den Ort Garda. Ein wunderschöner kleiner Spaziergang führt hier hinauf und belohnt einem mit einem solchen Ausblick

At the foot of a steep mountain slope, the charming town of Limone is built in terraces by the lake. Nestled one above the other, the houses stick to the rock, the winding alleys of the picturesque old town are adorned with flowers. Away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, in the narrow side streets or in the olive groves located higher up, it is still very quiet and romantic.

Am Fuß eines steilen Berghanges liegt terrassenförmig an den See gebaut das charmante Örtchen Limone. Übereinander geschachtelt kleben hier die Häuser am Felsen, die verwinkelten Gässchen der malerischen Altstadt sind blumengeschmückt. Abseits vom Touristentrubel, in den engen Seitengässchen oder in den höher gelegenen Olivenhainen, geht es noch immer sehr ruhig und romantisch zu.
