Football quiz and sport activity in Ganja, Azerbaijan
YEAs in Azerbaijan have organised a quiz and sport activity dedicated to the UEFA European Championship. The event took place on the 14 June 2024 in Ganja. Through this project, young people were able to test their knowledge in the field of football, as well as learn about the UEFA Euro 2024. This event was organised by YEAs’ Ganja team.
Attendees were asked 20 questions about UEFA, the history and rules of football, as well as the importance and activity of football in Europe. After the quiz they played football in the stadium.
The event aimed to increase awareness about the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), UEFA Euro 2024 and the European Union's commitment to promoting both mental and physical health through sports. Young Europeans Ambassadors (YEAs) in Ganja will focus on enhancing youth participation in sports, creating a dynamic environment for young people to strengthen their ties to European football and highlight the EU's role in fostering a healthy and active lifestyle amongst its youth.
