On Forza Horizon 4

We’ve been to Bamburgh castle a few times. It’s a wonderful castle, in a wonderful area, in the beautiful county of Northumberland.

The last time we were there was on 19th June this year.

I own Bamburgh castle on Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox. I bought it for £10m 😂.

Here you can see me leaving the castle in my Lamborghini Urus in the top screenshot; and racing towards it at 120mph in the bottom screenshot. I’m in lead of 12 racers, and on lap 2 of 3.

All the places and scenery on Forza Horizon 4 are very lifelike.

I know, that's pretty weak... I spent all night working on some new ideas for other projects and didn't really have a LOT of time to work out a significant shot. I love shots of the back of the camera though.

This is the first one of my 50D I've done. She'd been getting cranky to never be featured so I hooked old girl up. For those observant folks, yes, that's the BG-E2N grip and E1 strap. The thing in the shoe is an Interfit RF shutter release.

today i haven't done an awful lot apart from skating, that i didn't take my camera to.

so i came hope and after renting Need for Speed Shift2 and playing that most of the night i almost forgot about my picture, so i though i would give you the joy of seeing my controller with my xbox on its cooling stand in the background!

anyone thinking of getting Shift2 unleashed, do it!

its the first game that has made my hands sweat in ages! its intense!!

Agathla Revisited, Arizona by Tyler Westcott

One of the funny things about shooting shoulder to shoulder with friends throughout a multi-day photo trip is that eventually your photos start to overlap and subject matter repeats. So, for anyone following along with our group pool seeing the photos from my fellow travelers Suad, John, and Scott, I probably seem to be repeating material now, but it can't be helped.

This peak, known as El Capitan to some, and Agathla by the Navajo, is a volcanic plug rising abruptly out of the landscape on the drive towards Monument Valley in Arizona. While visiting the area last year we made a very similar stop to this spot after shooting Monument Valley, and we repeated that again under similar cloud and moonlight.

The clouds were lit beautifully by the nearly full moon and they were moving quickly. With the moon at our backs it was difficult to frame the peak and the clouds together. I began by shooting close to the road and eventually wandered quite a ways, maybe 300 yards, north to change my perspective to bring the clouds around 'behind' the peak. However, John and Suad have already posted images from similar perspectives and I've decided to share my first photo taken close to the road. In the end I'm happy with the way the peak and the clouds share and split the frame, and the clouds take on an appearance of bending around Agathla, rather than radiating from behind it. I strongly recommend taking a look at the other shots in the pool too though.

I don't see much fuss about visiting Agathla when reading up about the southwest, but I love it. If you're on your way to Monument Valley I suggest taking in Agathla too. You can see my 2008 versions of Agathla here, here, and here, and my 2009 self-portrait at Agathla here.

"PLAY OF THE GAME" #Overwatch by Alan Rappa

I don't play nearly as many games as I used to, but one game that I haven't been able to get enough of recently is Overwatch from Blizzard Entertainment.

Though I was late to jump in, ever since I picked it up I've been having trouble putting it down.

It's a fun, stress free, multiplayer shotoer with plenty of style, class and variety. It plays smooth and win or lose, I manage to have fun 99% of the time.

Looking forward to seeing what the game has in store for 2017.
