"Widowmaker" from the Overwatch on-line game.

I later found out that she was part of the "Mythic Overwatch" group with Jessica Nigri.

I did some minor corrections and fill-ins to her body paint where it had worn off.

Cosplayer: Lynn Unlimited

I used Topaz Adjust's Clarify and Shadow Recovery and Nik Software's Color Efex Pro - Dynamic Skin Softener filters along with the MagMod Grid flash modifier.

I have to say that she had the coolest looking weapon I saw during the whole convention. And one of the funniest facial expressions, too. :-D

UPDATE: Jinx was the lead photo for Uproxx's Funny, Sexy, And Awesome Cosplay Of The Week (02.26.14). I haven't a clue who this cosplayer is but if somebody knows her, could you pass this information along to her?

UPDATE #3: Jinx was the lead-in photo for the third part of Uproxx's Funny, Sexy, And Awesome Cosplay: Best of 2014 (12.26.14). This... wow... makes me very happy and feeling accomplished!

I was playing round with my MagBeam's light stencils (the wavy triangles) with purple gel. It really highlighted her torso well but seemed to fade out on her legs and a bit on her. It's fully possible the darkening of her face might've been from the bluish make-up from her cheeks upward, too.

No clue who she is. Can anyone ID or tag her?

Saw her with a small group (they looked like they were dressed up from Assassin's Creed) and I just fell in love with the mischievous look in her eyes. Used a couple of techniques (textured background and filters) to emulate an older style photo but masked her from most of those effects.

Another photo of vf0x.cos as Firefox Ahri.

Is it just me or did these pics of her turn out exceptionally well?

Annah (Ginger-Snaps Cosplay) and I conversed a bit before Otakon (all of her photo-shoots at Katsucon fell-through), traded numbers, and got together for a couple of photos. This one I liked the best of the bunch.

Tech stuff: lightened up the shadow over her eyes; did a Lens Blur on the background and used a gradiated fill so that it remained sharp at the bottom but gradually blurred further behind her (masked out Annah as I didn't want her blurred at all).

According to my quick on-line research (my Google-Fu is strong), this is an alternative costume for Dr. Quinzel in the Injustice: Gods Among Us: Insurgency game (guessing this is a separate module or story arc in the game?) where she is trying to be one of the good guys. Please feel free to correct me as games are not my forté.

Dunno who the cosplayer is so I am unable to give her credit where credit is due as she did a killer job and was very popular with many of the photographers (hint: don't hog the cosplayers, guys/gals). Although, I find it funny that I was the only person who noticed the gentleman's club in the scenery behind her. Yes, "Adult" and "Fantasy" would just about cover things. *smirks*

Again, this does nothing to dissuade me of my current, unexplained, fanboy crush on Harley Quinn. ~sighs~

*continues to beat head into wall*

UPDATE: Insurgency Harley was featured in Uproxx's Harley Quinn Month Continues In This Week’s Awesome Cosplay (02.12.2016). Keen!!!!

Gender-bent version of Link from The Legend of Zelda video games.

Cosplayer: Kayley Marie Cosplay

I took a couple of photos of her but this was the only one with a flash (brighter colors) and with a full-body view. I used "Sharpen AI" from Topaz Labs and it really brought this one back from being tossed into the "not-good-enough" pile.

After a bit of trial and error, I finally figured out who she was dressed as. She's dressed up as "Panther," the code-name for one of the character (Anne Takamaki) in the game Persona 5.

Except for updating the color profile and resizing for proper printing, this is an unedited photograph.

One of the fighters from the Soul Calibur games (not sure which release).

Yaya Han dressed in a fanciful version of the "Street Fighter" character, Chun-Li. It may look like if she did any martial arts kicks that she would be revealing a lot more of her skin than intended but her dress is triple-guarded from shifting and her tights are very opaque and reinforced.

I worship this woman's skills and looks. <3 To quote one of my friends, "Yaya cannot look anything but luscious." True dat. ;-)

Tech stuff: Used PS to darken the background then masked out Yaya to brighten her appearance; PS "lens blur" on the background then used a radial layer mask to vary the blur (sharper in the center, blurrier toward the edges); PS action "3 layer saturation" to push the colors up a bit; and added a minute vignette on the edges as a frame.

These ladies were quite nice and posed for some pics while waiting to be seated for dinner. Cammy is Sarah Fong. I do not know who is cosplaying Chun-Li

I suggested this pose as I have a T-shirt where both Harley and Jinx have changed costumes and weapons (image can be seen here). They are gleefully wanting to use each other's weapons.

I used Analog Efex - Toy Camera (blurred) to give the image a slightly surreal/out-of-focus look on the edges along with my standard image adjustments in PS and Color Efex Pro - Pro Contrast/Dynamic Skin Softener/Darken-Brighten Center.

In retrospect, as they were both standing under direct sunlight, I should have used a higher Æ’/stop than 2.8 or a neutral density filter - to let in less light - as the tops of their wigs are totally blown out (almost pure white, no contrast or color). But it is what it is; the image looks good, we all had fun, and that's all that matters, right?

Cosplayers:

Harley - @ahvnenierose

Jinx - @raedioactivity

I contacted "Jinx." She loved the photos. The major problem of working with cosplayers is that I don't always recognize them. I had taken photos of Raedioactivity at two of the D.C. Cosplay photo events. Both she and Ahvnenierose were at the event in July 2018.

She was very impressive... in both work(wo)manship of her costume and bravery.

I ran into Belle late Saturday night at the con. As I'm always trying to "up my game" (i.e., get better at taking photographs), I asked if she would pose as sexily as she felt comfortable to do for some pictures. I may pretend to be a "deev," but really I'm quite sweet and protective of the photos I take; especially the photos of whom I consider my friends.

Belle was a trooper and did some great poses and we had a good time hanging out and chit-chatting.

Comments, critiques, and criticisms are welcomed. :-D

Does anyone know who this cosplayer is? My pics of her turned out quite good and would like to make sure she gets copies for her portfolio.

From the Final Fantasy 7 game.

A second photo of Kat as Shani from "The Witcher" game series.

I used Nik Software's Color Efex Pro - Pro Contrast / Tonal Contrast / Dynamic Skin Softener and Topaz Lab's Light Detail filters.

I had an idea of getting Yennifer to pose with a dried up leaf as if she was going to do some magic on it. I don't think Nat got where I was going with this and hopefully this image makes a lot more sense.

I'm guessing that this is one of her outfits from either the Injustice or Arkham games? Regardless, thanks for posing for me! :-D

UPDATE: This Harley (I seem to have a lot of Harley Quinn pics in my albums) was featured in the 9th part of the Harley Quinn Edition Of Funny, Sexy, And Awesome Cosplay Of The Week (02.27.2015). She is the fifth picture of mine used in the series of articles - which is pretty damned cool and impressive as there are a butt-ton of great Harley Quinns cosplayers and photos out on the web. Thanks for the bump, guys!

Straight on 90-degree angled photos are kind of boring as everyone can do those. I like taking photos that are a bit... unusual in some way such as angles, perspective, and direction which gives my pics some action, emotion, and energy. I took a lot of art classes so I might as well put some of that knowledge to work to create charged images.

I re-sized and cropped the image (300 dpi at 16:9 ratio [16" x 9"]) as I wanted the cosplayer to fill the image as much as possible.
