Hello, dear friends! I hope that everything is well with all of you.

This is my first capture, in full body, of one of these lovely birds.

Before, I have only photographed heads, peeping from behind something... :)

This one was very curious, but always moving too fast...

Among the largest birds in North America. The large-bodied, long-legged and small-headed look of a turkey is distinctive. Appears dark from a distance. Often seen in small groups in open fields near woods. Gobbling often audible in the spring and early summer. (eBird)

Réalisé le 20 février 2013 à Chiang Saen, Thaïlande.

En Thaïlande, cette espèce est non férale. Celui-ci était en liberté, mais il provenait visiblement d'un élevage.

In Thailand, this species is non-feral. This one was free, but it obviously came from a farm.

Taken on February, 20th / 2013 in Chiang Saen, Thailand.

The blue Peacock (pavo cristatus) is a species of bird in the family of Phasianidae (Phasianidae). It belongs to the order of Galliformes and the pheasant and the House chicken is one of the best known representatives of this bird group is.

Due to its striking appearance, especially the males are considered the oldest ornamental birds in the people. In the legends of ancient Greece they were mentioned. As site-loyal birds, the animals originally in India and Sri Lanka are held today around the world as pets.

Pheasants are large, long-tailed gamebirds. The males have rich chestnut, golden-brown and black markings on their bodies and tails, with a dark green head and red face wattling. Females are mottled with paler brown and black.

They were introduced to the UK long ago and more recent introductions have brought in a variety of races and breeds for sport shooting. What they eat: Seeds, grain, shoots and insects (Courtesy RSPB).

A species of bird that has been introduced into large parts Europe mainly in the name of sport and fun where some people get a kick out of shooting and blasting these stunning looking birds out of the sky. Now accepted as part of the countryside these birds will feed on our native reptiles though not their thought, all animals have to eat and again we are to blame for this.

The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is native to the Americas.

One species, Meleagris gallopavo (commonly known as the domestic turkey or wild turkey), is native to the forests of North America, mainly Mexico and the United States.

The other living species is Meleagris ocellata or the ocellated turkey, native to the forests of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Males of both turkey species have a distinctive fleshy wattle or protuberance that hangs from the top of the beak (called a snood).

They are among the largest birds in their ranges. As in many galliformes, the male is larger and much more colorful than the female.

This one did require a lot of editing. On the side of the main road on a bank against the skyline on a dull day in the rain. All the requirements for a cr*p photo. One eye on the camera, the other on the rearview mirror but I got 'im.

More shots from the top of Glen Quaich today. The light was fantastic and the new lens worked a treat. The birds also co-operated by nearly jumping in the car with me
