Paris : les Tours Eiffel
Du premier avril 2023 au 10 avril les Les Français ont vu un double de leur célèbre Dame de fer. Une réplique d’un dixième de la taille a été érigée près de la tour Eiffel d’origine sur le Champ de Mars. L’installation de l’objet de 32 mètres de haut est l’œuvre de l’artiste Philippe Maindron

I took this photo from the roof of the "Galerie Lafayette" department store, which is opposite the opera house. Entrance is free almost all day. tripod not allowed.
Have so many pics to upload - 3 double exposed rolls with Trapac, 2 LCA rolls from Paris, a black and white supersampler roll, a Christmas party colorsplash-fest, a Christmas Eve rocket test in Portra NC....but not enough time.
So this one will have to do, more Christmassy than New-Yearsy, but what the heck. Happy New Year everyone.

Yes, shopping can be very exhausting, especially in La fayette, where it's absoltely more than 22 degrees. They could easily save money turning that heater down, and make money as people will shop longer. We couldn't stand the heat and fled outside, these people didn't make it that far....

This was taken from the balcony at Gallerie Lafayette in Paris, with a low res camera. I like the patterns the red lamp shades make above the people.
The flagship store of Galeries Lafayette in Paris is a 10-story structure located at 40, boulevard Haussmann, in the IXe arrondissement, the goods that are on sale can be bought in any department store in any city or town but the building is unique and special. Well worth the visit.
