When I bought this the barista said "Yum, rhubarb is so good" and I said "Well, I don't even really like rhubarb but that is just the prettiest thing!"
And she kinda laughed and then looked at me like I was nuts. Oh well.

Galette, is the name given in most French crêperies to savoury buckwheat flour pancakes, while those made from wheat flour, much smaller in size and mostly served with a sweet filling, are called crêpes.
In Finistère, both "crêpes" and "galettes" are referred to as "crêpes."
Galettes are usually served with a bolée (glass or cup) of cider.

Si no quieres pringarte las manos haciendo la masa y, desde luego, la susodicha la quieres más ortodoxa :))), puedes utilizar una lámina de masa Brisa. Para el relleno, fresas con zumo de limón, azúcar y maizena; 180 grados, 30 minutos de horno, más o menos.

I can use this biscuit dough as a substitute for other pastry dough so I will have to try that, maybe stuff some cream cheese in the middle. Hmmm.

Not the prettiest creation. Really tasty though. The pastry a new kind for me, has cornmeal in it. I think I will use a flan dish next time as folding the sides up was not easy and I lost some of the juice.

Had a visitor tonight, it got the thumbs up from all three of us and there is not much left for tomorrow.. Served it warm with ice cream.
