Anime Detour, the biggest and most intense anime convention in Minnesota. Right now all ~5,000 attendees are recovering from 3 days of non-stop fun, and (presumably) many of them are searching the internet for photo galleries of the convention.
I wanted to get something up as soon as I could, but photographing and participating in a convention like this takes a lot out of you. The images in this collection do not necessarily represent the best costumes, or my best photographic work. I chose these images because they were easy to edit, but still capture the pageantry and enthusiasm of the convention.
Over the weekend I captured nearly 1,500 raw images, almost filling my 32GB memory card. My new camera made sure almost all of those came out sharp and in-focus, so I have my work cut out for me processing it all down to a final collection. I will make another upload sometime in the next week with the rest of the images I want to share.
