1 Basta apenas comer menos para perder peso.

 

Esse é o principal erro que todo mundo comete, pois através dele as pessoas passam fome desnecessariamente.

 

Você já deve saber que para perder peso é necessário gastar mais calorias do que consumimos, pois é por conta desse déficit calórico que seu corpo utiliza a gordura como reserva de energia.

 

Sabendo disso muita gente, apenas reduz a quantidade de alimentos que será consumida durante o dia, sem ao menos saber que está em déficit calórico.

When most people start losing weight, their main parts of focus are the waist, stomach, arms, and also thighs.

 

What they fail to take note of is that your feet can also shrink and go smaller as you lose weight also.

 

You may often discover that your old shoes don't fit anymore and you would need to get new smaller ones when you shed a certain amount of weight.

 

There are a lot of ways in which weight loss can also affect your feet size.

 

Why Did My Feet Get Smaller?

 

Many individuals often discover that their feet have gotten smaller when they lose weight.

 

I know this sounds weird to a lot of you but it's true and is scientifically proven.

 

Expert research shows that when you put on a certain amount of weight, the ligaments in your feet would stretch to contain the fat present.

 

When the weight is lost, the stretch reduces and this causes your feet size to reduce, thereby causing the change in shoe size.

 

Also, the case of flat feet is more prevalent among obese people as excess weight is a more key factor to the development of flat feet than ageing.

 

Also, there is a theory that the flatter your foot is, the wider it becomes and this makes your shoe size bigger than normal.

 

So, losing weight also comes with a reduction in feet size. Most times when there is a reduction in feet size, it is due to weight loss.

Weight Gain

We're going, to begin with, the biological aspect. When we're born into this world, we're a small, cute little baby, and as a baby, we grow. Generally, at six months an infant's birth weight has doubled, and tripled by their first birthday.

 

As an infant gets older, growth continues, in fact, growth and height usually stop at about the age of 16 for females and around 22 for males. During this growth period, there are a lot of things going on in the body, which require a lot of energy.

 

During this period, bones, organs, and other body tissues are getting larger, and lean body muscles are being developed. All of this growth requires energy, and where does the body get energy from?

 

Well, food of course, so, when we're young, with all the growth taking place, most if not all of the food we eat is being used as energy to fuel this growth, and that means that not much if any fat storage is taking place.

Energy Decline

Once this growth period stops we are at our physical peak, and the body enters a simple maintenance stage. So, now that high energy requirement starts to decline and continue to decline as we get older.

 

That is unless we ourselves do something about it, but we'll get to that in a minute. If we were to try to plot this biological energy expenditure in a graph, it would look something like this.

 

I'm trying to show this from a purely biological perspective, and keep in mind, that this graph does not take into account a person's activity level.
