Fiat G-91 R
Il Fiat (più tardi Aeritalia) G-91 fu progettato dall'Ing. G. Gabrielli per rispondere alle specifiche di un concorso NATO del 1953 per un caccia tattico leggero, che avrebbe dovuto equipaggiare le aeronautiche dei Paesi dell'Alleanza Atlantica. Il prototipo effettuò il suo primo volo nel 1956, e risultò vincitore del concorso NATO. Nel 1958 furono consegnati all’Aeronautica Militare i primi G.91 pre-serie, assegnati al 103° Gruppo della 5° Aerobrigata di Rimini e sottoposti a periodo di prove presso il Reparto Sperimentale Volo di Pratica di Mare. In vista degli ottimi risultati, nel 1959 gli esemplari di serie incominciarono ad equipaggiare i reparti dell'Aeronautica Militare.
Velivolo inizialmente monomotore, il G-91 era caratterizzato da un'ala a freccia di 37° e da una classica struttura struttura della fusoliera a semiguscio in lega leggera.
Fu adottato dall'Aeronautica Militare Italiana in 241 esemplari di diverse versioni.
- Versione R (nelle varianti R/1, R/1A, R/1B), caccia leggero destinato all'appoggio tattico e alla ricognizione fotografica.
- Versione PAN, che equipaggio la Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale (Frecce Tricolori) dal 1964 al 1981.
- Versione T, biposto da addestramento.
- Versione Y, bimotore utilizzato dall'Aeronautica Militare per il supporto tattico ravvicinato e la ricognizione aerea tattica.
Il G-91 fu anche adottato dalla Germania (versioni R/3, T/3) e dal Portogallo (versione R/4).

The Fiat (later Aeritalia) G-91 was an Italian light fighter-bomber aircraft designed by G. Gabrielli in 1953. The G-91 was built to meet the NATO NBMR-1 competition in 1953 for a "Light Weight Strike Fighter" to be adopted by members of the Alliance. After several trial sessions, the G-91 was designed as the winning design of the NBMR-1 competition.
The G.91 entered into operational service with the Italian Air Force in 1961, and was adopted in different versions.
- Version R (sub-versions R/1, R/1A, R/1B), light tactical fighter also equipped with cameras for photo-reconnaissance missions.
- Version PAN, used by the Italian Aerobatic Team “Frecce Tricolori” from 1964 to 1981.
- Version T, two-seat for training.
- Version Y, two-engine version used as a light tactical fighter (and for photo-reconnaissance missions, as well).
The G-91 was also adopted by air forces of Germany (versions R/3, T/3) and Portugal (version R/4).
