Pre-painted foam latex appliance. Moves with your face!

This was all in aid of a college project to design a poster of your choice. I am a fan of Silent Hill games and saw they made a film (Unfortunately a poor one at that). The characters inspired me to create one for a sequel.

I had the wonderful opportunity of shooting with an amazing group of people this week, thanks to the lovely Evan Walsh. I could not have asked for a better group of people to shoot with and appreciate their time. Originally going there I had one concept, which ended on the bad side and failed due to... igniting issues. haha, but as the day continued images began to form and I could not be happier with the results. I am so happy I was given this opportunity and am happy to have made all the new friends in the process.

THEME: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - MASQUERADE SCENE.

I designed masks for each of the main characters (Erik - The Phantom, Raoul & Christine Daae), based upon their character profiles, described in the original book by Gaston Leroux. I also tried to find models that I thought suited. =)

For all you fans out there who admire Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera as much as I do, you will know that Raoul, the Vicomte de Chagny is the hero .

In the book, he is described as having a "small, fair mustache, beautiful blue eyes, and a complexion like a girl's and an air of "just having left the women's apron-strings."

I created my mask using gold-coloured feathers and literally stuck them to the skin using (here comes the technical bit)...skin glue! I created an eagle design because something told me that eagles mimic power, wealth and are thought as saviours.
