Happy Macro Monday!

Back from my vacation and will try and catch up.

Important:

I will be on and off over the next few weeks. I am in process of selling my house and waiting for one to be built so have to arrange moving and temporary housing - which will occupy a lot of my time.

Ich liebe diese feinen Härchen an den frischen Blättern der Buchen. Habt ihr sie schon mal bemerkt?

I like the these fine hairs on the fresh leaves of beech trees. Did you ever notice them?

Canada Goose Gosling. View Large On Black By the early 20th century, over-hunting and loss of habitat in the late 1800s and early 1900s had resulted in a serious decline in the numbers of this bird in its native range. The Giant Canada Goose subspecies was believed to be extinct in the 1950s until, in 1962, a small flock was discovered wintering in Rochester, Minnesota, In recent years, Canada Geese populations in some areas have grown substantially, so much so that many consider them pests (for their droppings, the bacteria in their droppings, noise and confrontational behavior). This problem is partially due to the removal of natural predators and an abundance of safe, man-made bodies of water (such as on golf courses, public parks and beaches, and in planned communities). I gave Kiros the nickname Fuzz and he knows it as well as he knows his name which i think is pretty awesome.

The year is 1957 and the Chicago Police have been called to Union Station due to a disturbance.

This is a composite of 3 separate photos. The car is from Geneva, Illinois' Concours d'Elegance. The second shot is the vehicle's 1957 tax sticker. The third is of downtown Chicago's Union Station entrance.

The spring "fiddleheads" of the interrupted fern are covered in fuzz when they first emerge in the spring. These were photographed in Perrot State Park near Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Interesting fact: Fossil records show that interrupted ferns have remained unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. Wish I could say the same!

When Kiros was a cub I would call him Fuzzy, because he always seemed much fluffier than the girls and he looked so fuzzy wuzzy which made him so deliciously cute.

Now he has grown, he is still fluffy but it is his mane growing and not that cub fluff. Anyway, the nickname has stuck and he knows his nickname as well as his given name now.

"2024: Peach Fuzz

A light, delicate shade that sits between pink and orange, Peach Fuzz marks the 25th anniversary of Pantone's Color of the Year program. This soft, heartfelt hue expresses the desire to nurture kindness, compassion, and connection—all while fostering a deep coziness as we seek a peaceful future."

Poplar tree fuzz on the lake.

Bernie took this photo today and posted it online, he told me i could post it under

my profile here. He says i can come and take the Fuzz out to Petsmart on Thursday i dont know if its a good idea or not. It might hurt worse to leave him, then to spend time with him. I hope Bernie doesnt hack my account again and delete my photos again.

The poplar trees are releasing their seeds now. The seeds have this fuzz floats around, breaks down, gathers in banks and attaches itself to everything. This image is straight from the camera.

Fuzz didnt seem to thrilled to be a flower child. LOL

While 50' up in a dead tree (in a public park), these Great-horned owl chicks created quite a skirmish between local residents, birders, tree huggers, photographers, bi-law enforcement officers and eventually the police.

Personally, I stayed away, got my pictures mid week when only dog walkers were in the park. The world has gone nuts!

ちょっとピンぼけどころじゃないですが。。。

Today, I promise to myself to work for some blogs, several projects and help Fuzz with the event. A lot of work to do, but I determine to do several blog posts. For first post today, it is my dedication for my friend, my boss who always listen to me and so kind to me. She did her own first design for Zanze.

I needed to stop at Pat Catan's today to pick up supplies to do my swaps over at swap-bot.com

and we had the Fuzz out and about and the manager seen the Fuzz in the parking lot and the manager told Bernie we could bring him into the craft store.

He seemed to be interested in the craft store and the sites and smells.

A simple piece of fuzz on a reflective surface intrigued me enough to play with it. Playtime is fun! :)121 pictures in 2021 #85 shades of orange

this fellow was very camera shy.....

I never did see it's face before it buzzed off to the next daisy!
