Febrovery - All Terrain Futuron Rover/Tank thingy

Hmmmmmmmmmmm with wings or without? I like the larger size with the wings but then I also like the cockpit pods sitting there, the whole tings looks more compact. Oh the trials and tribulations!

I like the idea of the wings being an level-uped version, along with extra missiles and stuff maybe.

Futuron X6 Rocket Launcher

A is for Astronaut

Like this brave space guy

Blasting off in his rocket

He flies through the sky

He orbits and cruises

Flying 'round and over

But the thing he likes best

Is to drive his space rover!

Classic Space Sub-theme 2, Futuron, a personal fave of mine 😄

Welcome to Planet Frost

Our tour continues...

There are many historical points of interest to see here on Planet Frost as well. These two have been hanging around for ages. There used to be a large Futuron research outpost here, but it has been mostly decommissioned. Almost all of the Futuron staff has been retired or sent to further reaches of the galaxy. Still, it is nice to have a reminder of things of the past, even as technology swiftly moves forward.

Speaking of historical interest...

Febrovery 2025 - 8

Hi everyone! To celebrate Febrovery, I decided to revamp the 1988 Futuron set 6925, Interplanetary Rover. Hope you like it!

More boilerplate of NASA-meets-Futuron, or something like that. Maybe it's more Space 1999-meets-Futuron.

More weapons means more PEW factor but a slower swoosh index.

With those 4 ships, I've finished to upload my current stock of MOCs. Now the boring time, sorting, etc...

Anyway last upload for the moment, I have to think to what build next, and well, for once I don't have many ideas. I blame the heat ^^

If I was kicking off a whole month of Futuron builds this would be a great launch post. But sadly no, I'm not even close to being that organised. I don't have a blue one yet but I'll grab one eventually.

Rover School is in session...

My favorite class at Rover School is The Art of The Rover, where we learn about color schemes, experiment with color blocking, and explore the properties of the latest UV reactive transparent materials.

This week we listened to a lecture on the Primary Colors presented by a trio of Roverchromatologists from Futuron New Wave. I thought it was pretty basic, but interesting nonetheless.

(Part 1 of 3...naturally)

Futuron is my favorite Space subtheme, so a Futuron Rover was unavoidable ^^

Three Blacktron Astronauts on an alien planet searching for Futuron Machinery to capture.

Dark-ages-era spacey stuff recovered from my old computer. (Again, please excuse my poor 2014-era photography skills... or lack thereof)

The United Systems Military Fleet (USMF) was a faction I created out my love of combing things old and new. The old being classic Lego space set parts from the likes of Futuron, M-Tron, Ice Planet, and Blacktron and then combining those classic elements with the new parts Lego had designed since then.

The colors being the simple red and white were born out of a desire to use the most classic parts in those colors and introducing the newer dark bley to add a touch of modernity.

The USMF was faction I have an affection for as it has direct ties to classic space sets of yesteryear with some of the pizzaz of new parts and new building techniques. This is somewhat unlike the other factions I have made (the CLC and CDN) as they are more modern military-focused, with basically none of the old space elements many of us grew up loving.

As I get increasingly nostalgic as the years march on, I intend to revisit this theme and these fleets of ships. They may be reduced to their elements at this point, but I feel a revival coming...

So busy at the moment I may not have time to finish this before the end of the month, but finish it I will!

The Christmas spirit lives on even on the remote outpost station SVW-X. Pine trees do not grow on the distant planet surface, but the team of 30 agile crew members surprised their commanding officer with a choreographed space tree on the Earth day 359, also known as December 25th.

This is a build of a Space X-mas tree for a Eurobrick contest.

Note: Minifigures are held together by holding on to sand blue sausages.

Hello, I'm Ned from the Trans Galactic Info Channel (TGIC) sponsored by Blue Bird Inc. and Meta 3 Corp.

Yesterday's parade was celebrating various factions in the federations. Today I found a sad bunch that didn't get to be one.

How do you feel that you're only prototypes?

"We're sad that it never worked out, but having build a good relation ship with Futuron made up for it."

"Our prototypes did test the water though, and eventually led to forming the Aquanauts faction I believe."

This concludes our interesting interview with Seatron, thanks for tuning in, and don’t forget to subscribe, follow me @NedIsTheBest.meta3.moon2be to get the latest news about me.

We visited our local Bricks & Minifigs today for their Stockroom Sale and picked up a few other things, like these three small Futuron ships.

I built this Futuron inspired ship for the Classic Space Era contest on Eurobricks. It measures 36 studs wide, carries a small rover, and seats two crew members. I based the craft around the inverted trans-blue canopies which were not the easiest things to work with at first, but I’m happy I was finally able to use them.

Plenty more images on Brickbuilt.

Playing around with combos, posing, angles, and depth effects. :D

Third, largest and last one for those Neo-Futuron Rovers.

I've got new parts that I've just received from BL, hope I will find time (and energy...) to use them ^^

Alternate universe/character nightmare I came up with late at night.

"This is the audio log of Harrison Gray, Lieutenant of the Futuron Science Vessel Cygnus II. We're running on emergency power and the communications systems are offline. I'm not sure... I'm not sure if there's anyone left alive on the ship... I have to hurry-he's probably close to finding me... God damn it goddamnitgoddamnit...

Okay... Cygnus II was sent under authority of the Space Agency's Red (Science) and Black (Armed Forces) Wings to investigate the sudden radio silence of of small planet called Tempi. They also hired bounty hunters and private captains to assist us...

Um, the Agency hadn't had any form of communication for... For... For several days. When our scout teams landed on the surface, they found a massacre. Everyone w-was dead. Everything was destroyed. People were burned to dust by means we'd never seen before... The ground was scorched to glass, and then crushed by what looked like giant treads... It was as if an evil force had come out of nowhere and disappeared... Into the shadows...

Um, after-after two days of searching we had found nothing until the following night when an Agency Marine spotted a glowing red object. He was killed as he left to investigate... But it allowed us to capture a specimen. It was taken immediately to the ship in orbit.

I never saw it firsthand, thank God... But I saw it on the video screen. Cyclopic, with menacing tentacles and tendrils...

And its color... It was as if it soaked in light itself..."

The FT-32 is a main utility worker for the developers of Valor Squadron. It only requires a single pilot, but it can support an additional crew of two, usually an engineer and ground-crew member to handle what is being transported. With four, rotating vertical thrusters and a pair of anti-grav lift-arms, the FT-32 can move just about anything. It also has a spacious cargo hold to support in resupply runs.

The prototype version of the captain of my yet-to-be-posted spaceship. I love this guy's stereotypical Firefly-esque captain look.

Jeffrey Sparrick is well-renowned throughout the galaxy for his smuggling activities. He and his ship Feigned Ignorance have seen regions of space few others have seen. He is cunning, but not ruthless, and knows when to quit. His Achilles heel is uncontrollable; his fame leads many to want him dead. It is rumored that he sometimes routes supplies to Captain Blue Star, and he maintains the story that he once made a delivery of 1,000 Futuron Moon Pies to the Nerds in Space set, though no one believes him.

Likes: Women (not too fast, not too slow), money, action films, leisurely piloting Feigned Ignorance, power naps, and spacewalks.

Dislikes: Knife fights, hallucinogens, members of Spyrius, losing crew members, and (MS2):Mars Species 2.

Look what I just received!!!

If I have time I will build it in the weekend and post some photos

Mark Wright has been full of mojo lately building huge fleets of Futuron style craft from age-specific parts. One of them, the CS Utility Shuttle really caught my eye with its combo of cool engines and ATV body.

I couldn't resist having a go at a redux build with more modern parts (and a custom screen) and with his permission here's the result.

Thanks Mark!

I started building this for Novvember 2018, only a little bit late!!

A long-range explorer/observation craft used by Futuron Astronauts to chart and observe celestial anomalies. Crew is one Pilot and one Co-pilot/astronomer.

Hello!

My name is Theodore Q. Spacepants.

My friends just call me Ted.

If you are just joining us, I was telling these fine folks about some of the new jobs I had tried after losing my employment at the FURD factory during the shutdowns forced by the Galactic Greeble Flu Pandemic.

When I was forced to close down Ted's Tacos, one of my regular customers said there was an opening on his crew performing maintenance on the Federation's new Minimal Occupancy Nonfriction Overhead Rail transport system.

(This new means of transit had been constructed through the Federation's Greeble Flu Relief Project. We had all been hoping for a more traditional monorail system like they have over on Futuron, but evidently this is the closest we were going to get.)

Maintenance work on some new high-tech hardware sounded great to me, and I loved this new job at first. The work was engaging, I got along fine with the rest of my crew, and I didn't even mind working up high in the overhead maintenance rover's bucket. So what was the problem this time, you ask?

I have two words for you.

Space Squirrels.

Vic Vipers from the earliest space themes square off in the arena, zooming down the raceway at breakneck speeds on the outskirts of the space station.

Today, Space Police I seems to be in the lead, with Classic Space hot on the tailfin, while Futuron and Blacktron battle it out for third place in this heat.

__________

I wanted to build a Vic Viper, but did not have the time and energy to build a minifig scale one, so I made 12 microscale ones instead. Stay tuned for heats 2 and 3!

featuring that robo-horse-head steering device ;)

After reading the Bricket Random Set Of The Day about set 5590 “Whirl and Wheel Super Truck” I had the urge to build the B model and convert it into both Futuron and Classic Space variants. The trans yellow windscreen is a bit shorter, and they don’t make the train doors in Medium Stone Grey, but I think I got pretty close!
