In The Avian world the future seems to be a very strong driving force as they do their best to carry on and prolong the species. It is always sad to me when I hear of one more species becoming extinct. There are so many reasons for this happening but I hope we will do our best to protect and encourage these beautiful birds and are always respectful of them !!

The future retro look of the external red lift at the new Standard Hotel in London, opposite St Pancras station.
Another picture from the Primal Future projections displayed on the Council House during Nottingham Light Night. The light show was created by the Tom Dale Company and Vent Media, in partnership with Nottingham Trent University and University of Nottingham.
I was down by my carport and I spotted a Pileated Woodpecker fly into the trees in the ravine. No camera with me but here is hoping that a Woodpecker like this one I photographed several years ago takes up residence nearby.

The Yawalapiti's population were about only 208 people, in 2002.
They live at the Indigenous Park of the Xingu, on Mato Grosso State, from Brazil.
Shanghai skyline at night with a touch of Blade Runner mood to it and hence the title. I remember watching movies back in the eighties where various visions of the future were presented and the cities often looked dark, glowing and with strange futuristic architecture. In some ways that future is now. Looking at Shanghai city at might, I could not help but feel taken forward in time.

Wet, continuous wet. Is this the future we have created? A rain soaked seat on outdoor exercise equipment in the park.
Aaaaand bike week finally comes to a close. It’s a Friday, so we’ve got to go out with something sporty.

A bright future for my son, Ethan.
I want to express my deepest appreciation to my Father & Mother for migrating to this wonderful country, Australia. It's very tough living in the Phillipines, as it is a Third World Country, many children don't have the choice of what to eat, what show to watch or even to play with toys. Ethan has all of this and much, much more. I hope one day my family and I will have the opportunity to go to the Philippines and that someday, Ethan can appreciate (like I and my side of the family do) the wonderful gift of life and freedom Australia has to offer.
Again, thank you Mum and Dad for all your hard work and the many sacrifices you made for my siblings and I, we truly are grateful.
