Parlor and old furnishings shot at the Lefferts Historic House Museum in Prospect Park. The Lefferts House is an 1783 house that was built for Pieter Lefferts, a lieutenant of the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War.Love the claw feet on the settee.
The church of St. Bartholomew was built in 1600, and then over the centuries it was altered and restored a number of times.
The log church is oriented towards the East, and comprises a post-and-frame tower, a post-and-beam vestibule as well as a brick sacristy, which was added later. The nave is covered with a double-pitched roof and the chancel with a slightly lower three-pitched roof. The roof over the nave features a neo-Baroque turret. The tower with tapered walls, comprises a top chamber, and is clad with wood boards, and topped with a bulbous cupola.
Inside there is a coved ceiling, and barrel vault in the sacristy. The gallery is supported by four pillars. The entrance from the chancel to the sacristy is framed with ogee arch. The doors to the side of the nave feature the reinstalled Gothic fittings and a hammered lock from ca. 1600.
The Baroque and late Baroque furnishings inside include the high altar from the 1700s, two side altars at the entrance to the chancel from the 1600s, a unique pomegranate-shaped pulpit from the 1700s, as well as a Baroque chalice-shaped baptismal font made from black marble from the 1700s. The benches from 1756 are embellished with painted representations of the Apostles, representatives of various social strata, and scenes from the New Testament. The late-Baroque confessional, dating from the same time, is also decorated with paintings.
In Rogi, there once was a fortified castle, and relics of the ramparts can still be seen here. A reference to the castle, dating from 1462, can be found in a document related to the division of the estate between Czarnocki brothers. According to the document, the stronghold had two towers.

Sledmere House is a Grade I listed Georgian country house, containing Chippendale, Sheraton and French furnishings and many fine pictures, set within a park designed by Capability Brown. Located in the village of Sledmere, North Yorkshire, England
The house is built in Nottinghamshire ashlar on three storeys to an H-shaped plan and is the home of Sir Tatton Sykes, 8th Baronet. The present house was begun in 1751, extended in the 1790s, and rebuilt after a fire in 1911.
There is something about the charm of Sledmere which has captivated visitors for over 200 years.

Granitz Hunting Lodge (German: Jagdschloss Granitz) is located on the German island of Rügen in the vicinity of the seaside resort of Binz. With over 200,000 visitors per year it is the most popular castle or schloss in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The hunting lodge (Jagdschloss) was built on the highest hill in East Rügen, the 107 m above sea level (NN) high Tempelberg, in the years 1838 to 1846 by order of Prince Wilhelm Malte I of Putbus, based on a design by Berlin architect, Johann Gottfried Steinmeyer in the style of the North Italian Renaissance castellos. It was once a popular holiday destination for European nobility and prominent people; for example, Frederick William IV, Christian VIII, Otto von Bismarck, Elizabeth von Arnim, and Johann Jacob Grümbke numbered amongst its visitors.
The lodge was owned by the von Putbus family until 1944 and passed into Nazi hands on the imprisonment of Malte von Putbus. The family was finally dispossessed as part of the East German land reforms and the castle remains today in state hands. After the end of the Second World War many of the furnishings were lost or stolen, several works of art were taken to the Berlin Art Depot, the agency for the administration of Soviet assets in Germany, and transferred in 1953 to the state museums in Berlin.
Attempts by the grandson of Malte zu Putbus, Franz zu Putbus, to get the family seat returned failed in court. The building is used today as a museum.
The castle was renovated at the beginning of the 21st century at a cost of 7.9 million euros.
Design:
The two-storey, plastered, brick edifice has a rectangular ground plan and four small corner towers. In the centre of the building in the old courtroom there is a 38-metre-high central tower, erected later based on plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Inside is a cantilevered circular staircase with 154 cast-iron steps. The static forces of the heavy iron staircase are entirely absorbed by the side walls; because it virtually clamped to the tower.
From the observation platform, 145 metres above sea level (NN), on the roof of the tower, there is a panoramic view in all directions, especially over the south and east of Rügen. In clear visibility the island of Usedom may be seen.

Between 1320 and 1370 the construction of the new Gothic church in Biberach an der Riss began. This new building replaces the previous Romanesque church.
The Reformation does not stop at Biberach either. In 1531, during the iconoclasm, many of the church's furnishings were destroyed (high altar, some pulpit, side altars). The catholic knife was banned until 1548, but in 1548 it was allowed again by the Augsburg interim of Emperor Karl V. Since that time the church has been used by both denominations, it is a so-called simultaneous church.
Between 1746 and 1748 the interior was redesigned in Baroque style by Johann Zick from Munich, who also painted the frescoes. While the nave was used by both Protestants and Catholics, the choir remained in Catholic hands, which is also reflected in the Themes reflecting the frescoes. While the frescos in the main and side aisles have biblical stories as their theme, the frescoes in the choir have a Catholic program of images. The nave fresco shows the life story of Jesus from his birth to his death.
Die Skyline des Düsseldorfer Medienhafens spiegelt sich in der Fensterfront des Hyatt Regency Hotels. Die Bar des Hotels ist am Vormittag leer, die ersten Gäste werden voraussichtlich erst am Mittag kommen. Dieses Motiv entdeckte ich im Vorübergehen - mir gefiel die doppelte Sicht - zum einen auf die Einrichtung der Bar, zum anderen auf das Spiegelbild der Skyline auf Anhieb. Das Foto zeigt mir, dass ich noch mehr auf solche oder ähnliche Details bei einem Fotowalk achten muss.

The skyline of the Düsseldorf Media Harbor is reflected in the window front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The hotel bar is empty in the morning, and the first guests are not expected to arrive until midday. I discovered this motif in passing - I liked the double view - on the one hand of the furnishings of the bar, on the other hand of the reflection of the skyline right away. The photo shows me that I have to pay more attention to these or similar details during a photo walk.

The Museum, which is accredited by the American Association of Museums, is the most popular year-round cultural attraction in the Berkshires.
The Museum houses the world’s largest and most significant collection of Rockwell’s work, including 998 original paintings and drawings. Rockwell lived in Stockbridge for the last 25 years of his life. Originally it was a Romanesque church built in the 12th century from granite and sandstone. The first mention of this church comes from Dlugosz's "Annals". It was repeatedly rebuilt, and traces of the Romanesque portal can be found in the southern wall. Around 1512, it was rebuilt in the late Gothic style. Burned by the Swedes in the early eighteenth century, rebuilt. Rococo interior furnishings from the 1st half of the 18th century, the image of the Mother of God with the Infant from the 17th century in the Baroque main altar. On the ceiling polychromy from the mid-nineteenth century. The church also has a late Gothic sculpture of the Mother of God and a stone baptismal font from the 16th century.

Pierwotnie był to kościół romański wybudowany w XII wieku z granitu i piaskowca. Pierwsza wzmianka o tym kościele pochodzi z "Roczników" Długosza. Był wielokrotnie przebudowywany, a ślady romańskiego portalu można znaleźć w ścianie południowej. Około roku 1512 został przebudowany w stylu późnogotyckim. Spalony przez Szwedów na początku XVIII wieku, odbudowany. Wyposażenie wnętrza rokokowe z 1 połowy XVIII wieku, w barokowym ołtarzu głównym obraz Matki Bożej z Dzieciątkiem z XVII wieku. Na stropie polichromia z połowy XIX wieku. W kościele znajduje się również późnogotycka rzeźba Matki Bożej i kamienna chrzcielnica z XVI wieku.

Gli arredi della sala sono stati trasferiti da Kozani e reinstallati all'interno della villa Benaki rispettando allestimento originale.
Diverse sale della villa sono state utilizzate allo stesso scopo con ambienti provenienti da località diverse della Grecia.

The furnishings of the room were transferred from Kozani and reinstalled inside the Benaki villa respecting the original layout.
Different rooms of the villa were used for the same purpose with environments coming from different locations in Greece.

Now the City-centre tap for Skinners brewery, five of their ales plus guests (some from casks behind bar), lots of craft beers, west country ciders and several wines by the glass including country ones, no food (can bring your own), good cheerful service, dimly lit beamed bar with engaging mix of furnishings, sawdust on the floor, beer mats on walls and ceiling, some interesting 1920s bric-a-brac and life-size cutout of Betty Stogs, daily newspapers and free monkey nuts, upstairs room with table football; juke box.
No time to visit for a Betty Stogs today. That needs to wait for my next trip.
This fine building was once a millinery, dressmakers and ladies outfitters.

The Palace of Versailles was the principal royal residence of France from 1682, under Louis XIV, until the start of the French Revolution in 1789, under Louis XVI. It is located in the department of Yvelines, in the region of Île-de-France, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) southwest of the centre of Paris.
The palace is now a Monument historique and UNESCO World Heritage site, notable especially for the ceremonial Hall of Mirrors, the jewel-like Royal Opera, and the royal apartments; for the more intimate royal residences, the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon located within the park; the small rustic Hameau (Hamlet) created for Marie Antoinette; and the vast Gardens of Versailles with fountains, canals, and geometric flower beds and groves, laid out by André le Nôtre. The Seyler Building at 43 Peel Street
Ludwig and Johann Klein ran a general store here known as Klein’s Market House Store from 1858 to 1861. This Italianate Ontario Vernacular site also served as a saddle and harness shop, a bakery as well as a tannery and wool sorting center under John and Sarah Otto (1899-1917). Seyler’s Home Furnishings was located here for many years. In 1944 William Seyler removed a storey from the original three storey building and used some materials for a single storey addition to the rear.
