The fur is Cleo's and the mouse is Cleo's too. I took this photo for the Happy Caturday theme "Fur". Cleo was asleep and when she is sleeping I can put on her fur whatever I want as long as I don't touch her head or tail.:) Happy Caturday !

Aufgrund einer baubedingten Totalsperrung der Main-Weser-Bahn für den Ausbau der S-Bahn-Linie S6 in den ersten beiden Wochen der hessischen Osterferien 2023 wurden durch den Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund zur Abdeckung der Verkehrsströme montags bis freitags zusätzliche Züge als RE 16 zwischen Friedberg (Hess) und Frankfurt (Main) bestellt. Diese aus Lokomotiven der Baureihe 245 mit Doppelstockwagen gebildeten Züge nahmen aber nicht etwa den Weg über Hanau, sondern über die eingleisige Strecke Friedberg (Hess) - Rosbach v d Höhe - Friedrichsdorf (Ts) und dann weiter über die "Homburger Bahn" nach Frankfurt (Main) Hbf. Hier sehen wir 245 018 mit RE 99041 Friedberg (Hess) - Frankfurt (Main) Hbf im Bahnhof Bad Homburg, welchen er ohne Halt durchfährt. Das stattliche Gebäude des Kaiserbahnhofs (Homburg vor der Höhe war eine beliebte Sommerresidenz von Kaiser Wilhelm II.) wurde am 26. Oktober 1907 in Betrieb genommen und bildet eine würdige Kulisse für diesen dort nicht alltäglichen Zug.

Due to a construction-related total closure of the Main-Weser-Bahn for the extension of the S-Bahn line S6 in the first two weeks of the Hessian Easter holidays 2023, additional trains were ordered by the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund as RE 16 between Friedberg (Hess) and Frankfurt (Main) to cover the traffic flows on Mondays to Fridays. These trains, consisting of class 245 locomotives with double-decker coaches, did not take the route via Hanau, but via the single-track line Friedberg (Hess) - Rosbach v d Höhe - Friedrichsdorf (Ts) and then via the "Homburger Bahn" to Frankfurt (Main) Hbf. Here we see 245 018 with RE 99041 Friedberg (Hess) - Frankfurt (Main) Hbf in Bad Homburg station, which it passes through without stopping. The impressive building of the Kaiserbahnhof (Homburg vor der Höhe was a popular summer residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II) was put into service on 26 October 1907 and forms a commendable backdrop for this train, which is not a common sight there.

Steinhuder Meer/GER
Der Torfkahn wird noch heute als Arbeitsboot der Fischer auf dem Steinhuder Meer verwendet. In früheren Zeiten wurde er für jeglichen Transport auf dem See eingesetzt, so etwa zum Transport von Torf aus dem Toten Moor im Osten des Steinhuder Meeres, der bis ins 20. Jahrhundert wichtiges Heizmaterial war.

Choosing photos for this week has made me compare Bella's fur with Daisy's. Both, technically, tabby & white, though Daisy's white fur was very white & Bella's, also spotlessly clean, is more cream than white. Bella has coloured fur on her nose, while Daisy's face was mostly white with her cute beauty spot.
