This is a psychic palm reader's shop in Newport Beach. There's so many of them I'm surprised Arrested Development didn't include a psychic in the show at some point.
Last night my friends & I, there were 5 of us "photonerd girls' in total, piled into my truck for a Friday night of food, fun and fotos at the Del Mar Fair.
Pretty much we just strolled around shooting what we saw and had an amazing time!
I took my new toy, my cross screen filter, and I am so happy with my results and can't wait to play with it in December and all the Holiday lights!
This was my first time with the new camera shooting lights at night, it was a lot of exmerimenting and seeing what would work, I don't have a tri-pod, but I am happy, feel like I got some cool shots...The fun zone at night is loud, bright and full of teeangers, couples in love and has a general feeling of electic excitement that only a summer night at the fair can bring.
As I was walking along the harbor-side of the peninsula, I noticed an opened, but full, bag of "flamin' hot" Cheetos resting on the wall of a staircase in the Balboa Fun Zone. On my walk back, the feast-in-waiting had been spotted by this gang of pigeons, who somehow had managed to knock the bag off its perch and onto the ground, scattering Cheetos everywhere. The full-on scramble of birds trying to cram these soggy snacks down their gullets made for a good shot. Notice the bird in the foreground eyeing me.
