One of our favourite Ikea items re-released in a 2 draw version in Black. We have installed loads of these as guest beds or an ideal choice for a teenagers bedroom. Made from solid pine this is a quality item that will last. the drawers run the full depth of the bed giving 85cm x 95cm storage each. Perfect for bedding.
Assembly from the flatpack takes us 2hours 15mins. It is one of the more complex assemblies we build, not recomended for the casual assembler with just a screwdriver!

All the timber in the seating bench and wall storage cabinet in this photo was repurposed from scrap and salvaged materials. The bench was made from a packing crate, pine framing timber offcuts, and jarrah architrave/skirting board leftovers made originally out of rough jarrah facecuts from the local mill. The pine was finished with wilderness green paint left over from painting the house barges, and the jarrah was clear-coated with leftover varnish from kitchen bench and picture frame work. - The cabinet frame was originally a rough 800 x 800mm box that contained the metal fixings for the farm shed kit we put up six years ago. It was shelved with offcuts and a rustic-looking cabinet door was made from pallet pine, and ledged-and-braced with rustic jarrah strips. Leftover window stain with a rddish tint tied the pine nicely in with the jarrah and the cedar windows. The only new items used in this outdoor funriture work were the screws, nails, hinges and latch.

In later years it was the Funriture Mart, and now it's Shen's 24/7 Fitness Center. Apparently before it was Gibson's, it was a farm supply store. Central Surveys in still located above. That's where Hale Greenleaf, Charlie Williams, Mike Irvin, Jim Winegardner, Bill Longman, Bob Longman and many others worked for years. Bob Longman is still there.
