Mr Chiots and I and I always head over to my parent's house to take our niecces trick-or-treating. This year our oldest niece decided she was too old.

Wear your costume and trick or treat at the museums during the annual Boofest from 1-4pm Saturday, October 24. Enjoy activities at all three museums.

 

â¢At the Kenosha Public Museum, go on a scavenger hunt and make a trick or treat bag.

 

â¢At the Dinosaur Discovery Museum test your courage feeling dino body parts, and participate in a haunted dino excavation.

 

â¢At the Civil War Museum paint a pumpkin, build a box fort, and take a guided lantern tour of the exhibit.

 

Tours start at 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm and are open to children in costume and their parents. All activities are sponsored by the Friends of the Museums and are free and open to the public.

 

Then from 6-8pm on Friday, October 30 head to the Dinosaur Discovery Museum for Dinos in the Dark. Grab your flashlights and watch the dinosaur shadows play during a special spooky tour. The cost is $1/person for ages 4 and older. Advance registration is encouraged. www.DinosaurDiscoveryMuseum.org

The Dinosaur Discovery Museum offers educational activities and programs like DINO DIGS throughout the year. Kids get the opportunity to become amateur paleontologists, donning safety goggles and using paleontologist tools. Dig for dinosaurs at our simulated excavation sites. Experience the excitement of excavating a dinosaur fossil. Join us every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm for the ultimate hands-on experience! Learn, have fun, DIG IN and get your hands dirty! Free!
